It's evident they're not taking over. So, surely it should be closed or perhaps renamed to "Untitled SAFC takeover thread" Ok
So a group who are currently the biggest investors and included a default clause to take over, or veto another buyer, are definitely not taking over ... that's quite weird logic. As for the thread, lots of people are enjoying it so there's no real harm. If you're not happy with the quality of threads why not post one yourself ... ... it can't be any worse than your only other effort.
Smug he may have a point mind. We only have four Billionaires who have an investment or invested interest in us and of those four only some have a mate who is Michael Dell or the other a rich FiL to talk about their football investment to, so we’re obviously of no consequence ;-)
I assume you mean Sartori and the three FPP? Suggestion, over the road (Madbob) that it’s fresh investment coming in and not a full takeover. Three individuals. He does not know who.
There are things happening which is, as usual, confirmed by the silence from Donald ... ... I've noticed that he now goes very quiet prior to a change. I can't post anything because I'm being told two contradictory things by two unconnected people ... ... I made the mistake of posting good info, in good faith, that later changed and was hounded for months. Never mind that the club owner, the manager and the BBC were all openly discussing the new owners. As with Bob some people just can't accept that things change, as has happened half a dozen times with Ashley and the various 'takeovers'. Bob contributes to the board, people continually posting 'nothing to see here, move along' contribute f**k all. If what I'm being told by one party is the way things go it will confirm FPP's continued interest which I'd be happy with.
It's hard to know if Donald is talking about other groups to push FPP into further action or whether the interest is more advanced. There's been quite a few people, don't really know who they are, who've made enquiries then faded away. This current 'noise' concerns people who've been mentioned previously but I just can't see them becoming involved at such a strange time. FPP, however, are already involved and have already invested quite some time, effort and money ... .... you work it out
I still think the new CEO is a strange one, you wouldn’t appoint anyone if your close to being sold, unless the potential new owners have give the go ahead, and it was only like two weeks ago Donald was talking about FPP again, if your in talks with a new group and close to selling you wouldn't name drop another group, so if we are generally close to being sold then you would think it was going to be the Americans
That's my guess and I'd be really surprised if it's anyone but them. If they do anything more than they already have I'd say it confirms that this is a long term commitment. As far as the new CEO is concerned, it's obvious Donald and Methven need help as they're not up to being 'hands on' day in day out. However I can't see Donald, of his own choice, commiting to an extra wage without being pushed a little.
Reading between the lines of that, FPP are going to exercise their right to convert the "loan" into shares as these awful current circumstances have accelerated Donald having to admit defeat in trying to flog the club to a third party?
What I don't understand is why FPP would put more money in while Donald sits with £9m of their money unspent. If he had spent it (doubtful) he yielded zero result, seems no reason to keep giving him cash. And if they were going to convert, they wouldn't need to negotiate anything, as it would be covered by the initial agreement. So if someone is coming along to do partial investment, I would guess it's not them because they could do it without any delay.
If you look at what Donald’s been saying (if he’s telling the truth) lately he wants to stay on again with % of the club, if your about to get new investment/sell Why would you risk the deal name dropping another group if you’re generally close to Getting someone new on board, specially in times like this when you have no idea when are next income is going to be, If it is FPP maybe the in negotiations for a % of the club, But obviously all depends if it’s true we are close to having investment or being sold
Aye I'm just saying they can already have the % by converting, but of course they could be back at the table asking for more. Nothing is ever certain and I'm not saying it can't happen or won't, just that it would seem an odd decision to re-invest in any company and person that hadn't used the money you first provided
Don’t know if anyone has seen this twitter post that I’ve just taken from over the road, but what would you think about it https://mobile.twitter.com/i/web/status/1254317360015642624
If Stewie hasn't touched the "loan" at all maybe they think the very fact that he hasn't needed to dip into the "loan" for day to day running costs shows prudence and that he can live within his means?
