I’m stood very close to her then. As you look at that photo I’m the one wearing green shorts and sunglasses at the front and no hair! . Master EJK is stood right in front of me. He’s now 6’2” so towers above me. For some reason Mrs EJK is nowhere to be seen!!
It's a small world lol. They emigrated in 2006, but we didn't get over to see them until 2015 after I retired. You live in a beautiful part of the world EJK, I have done a bit of travelling in my life but never been to anywhere as good as WA. We have done most of south of Perth down to Hamelin Bay. Next time I am over I plan to do north of Perth as far as I can realistically get up to.

Yeah, can’t really complain! Next time you’re over we can sink a beer or two. Whereabouts do the relatives live?

Yes WA is indeed a beautiful state. I have a daughter & grand-daughter just north of Perth.
We’ve been over 4 times - great holiday when there’s no hotel bill.
Drive up northwards -well worth a trip. The pinnacles are mindblowing and there are hundreds of coves lots of small seaside villages like Lancelin and the campinsite at Moore River with its sandbar is grand.
We are due another visit when this virus sh:t is over.

I know you're not a fan but no, it isn't the only thing that matters and yes, who is in charge is important. We'll get through this whether we get the best possible owners or someone else. Making out that there is only one good outcome for all this is just not right and gives people an unrealistic expectation.

As for the CEO chat, It may he the best outcome, but to make the FPP deal happen, Donald has to get us promoted, so it's not 'just noise' if this guy is running us and making decisions.

Whether it's CEO or MD or any other title, these guys make day to day calls for better or worse, so Woodward, Levy, Charnley and lots of other CEO's at almost every PL club are deciding who to hire as manager and how to run the club as a whole, developing the club on and off the pitch, ensuring recruitment is good. That's what they do. They sign off on everything, so whoever we have in that role is critical to getting FPP more involved. Saying they make no material difference is just not true.

" Making out that there is only one good outcome for all this is just not right and gives people an unrealistic expectation."

Surely it's just his opinion that he's expressing, to which he's entitled ...

... and, tbh, if people are basing their expectations on an occasional anonymous poster, more fool them.

We were meant to go up to Lancelin when we were over in 2019 but events conspired to mess with our plans. You are right about the hotel bill and friends of ours have loaned us a vehicle for the duration each time we were over so the holidays turned out to be pretty cheap (I still can't get used to the price of beer).

We have done south of Perth, the wineries in Margaret River, snorkelled with stingrays in Hamelin Bay and most coastal places in between but we are desperate to visit the places north of Perth, something to aim for next time. Of all the places we have visited in WA, Rottnest Island was our favourite, the beaches are incredible and the Quokkas amazing.

Once the C-19 virus is over I will be pricing flights. I wouldn't mind going for Australia day one year, but the flights are always expensive until the end of January.

I don’t the air prices from England - we trsvel from Oslo snd the price is usually around a grand /1100. 19 long hours - but worth every minute. Yeah Rotness Island a memory that will never fade - there is even a beach there called Geordie Bay. <laugh>
For me the place for a night out is Freemantle. Was in one bar and got a look round their micro-brewery.
Steaks in Oz are great as well.
Bud was glad I kicked the weed habit (alifetime ago) the price of tabs is horrendous.

If that was the Little Creatures Brewery, we have also done that. We also had a walking tour/pub crawl of Freemantle, the guide was excellent, she and her boyfriend had just started the business so I hope it has been a success for them.
The flights are a similar price and duration from Ponteland Airport <laugh> with a stopover in Dubai.
I am not really a steak lover but the steaks at Hoggs Breath are incredible, slow cooked for 18 hours overnight then flashed onto the grill, you can cut them with a spoon.

Surely this thread should be locked now that FPP aren't taking control
