Coronavirus latest: Anger from doctors and nurses over calls to re-use PPE to avert shortage
The drastic changes to guidance on re-use of PPE, made as a shortage looms, has been branded a 'betrayal' of medical staff

Unfortunately before all this happened the NHS was a bottomless pit money wise, it really didn't matter how much money was thrown at it, it was never enough and now this has shown that no matter how much money is spent on necessary equipment it again will never be enough because demand will always outstrip supply...…..it really is a no win situation....

Maybe it's time that manufacturing started again in the UK and people to realise that buying in cheap isn't necessarily always the best policy...….

Don't make it in China anyway

Learning from the master! That post displays a degree of hypocrisy, or at least total lack of self awareness, that I have long suspected of you Ellers, but rarely imagined to have so blindingly confirmed. Cheers!

I regard Apple News and Newsweek as mainstream media, so for me it’s a valid criticism of another government failure, on top of PPE and testing, which is now getting farcical. If contradictory evidence emerges, great. If, for political reasons, you refuse to engage with this, fine, just leave the rest of us who aren’t so blinkered to it.

Can you like a post more than once ?

Don't disagree......was it last week or the week before, the days just merge at the moment, that Hancock said that prior to this PPE was only supplied to something like 220 locations, presumably hospitals, now it has to be supplied to 56000 locations...…...even with the now daily flights of supplies coming in it will still not be enough due to the demand on supplies......

What has labour or the election got to do with this? Why does it always come back to that with you? We are talking about the government mate. I think you've got confused!

He won’t answer you.....he never answers you......we’re on ignore ‘cos we kept asking him difficult questions that he couldn’t blag

NB unlike posters like Col, who I might not agree with all the time, but is always willing to fight his corner in a mostly coherent and rational way (unless , like me he gets pissed off sometimes....sorry Col ;) )

I heard a rumour that a few companies had approached the government regarding manufacturing PPE. They are still yet to hear back and took a swipe at them for concentrating on Burberry and co.
