Lower league clubs aren't trying to pack 50,000+ people into a stadium though.

At the moment lower league clubs only still exist because of money from the PL (better sharing of money needs to be fixed but that's for the future).

Cancel the PL = bankrupt the PL = bankrupt the football pyramid.

But some bitter people would rather see football end than Liverpool lift a trophy they undoubtably deserve. Sad, selfish, and cruel on non-players who depend on football for a living.
This is also absolute horse ****.

You think if the season is voided it will end football? If you say so.

I said nothing about the season being voided btw, just pointing out that football league clubs playing behind closed doors long term isn't feasible, which you seemed to ignore.

If it's not safe for people to watch the games, how would it be safe for footballers to play against each other? Or is the proposal that all footballers have Covid-19 tests before each game to ensure that the season gets finished? Seems like an odd priority given what's actually happening.

I'm going on what the football organisers and clubs are saying.

Find me a single club that doesn't want to resume the season. Even Karren Brady was put in line when she realised West Ham are finished if the season doesn't resume. Relegation is better than voiding.

According to who?

It's what the people actually in charge are saying.
The PL have advanced money to the lower leagues and National League. The money is not dependent on the PL season being finished so your comment is more statto fan, stain on the game bullshit.

The dribbling melt has only ever watched matches behind closed doors.

The advanced money to PL teams is estimated on the current PL table. They're already working on the assumption the league will be finished and positions will be approximately what they are right now.

I've no doubt that they are going to go for the behind closed doors option but I really struggle to see how they're going to quarantine thousands of players/coaches/officials.

My question is what happens if and when someone catches it, will teams be forced to just carry on regardless of who's isolating?

I don't think Southampton u11's getting dicked 19-0 by Manchester City would be good for the integrity of the game tbh.

What's that got to do with the money that has been advanced to the lower leagues and national league? You constantly have to create a new angle because every point you put forward gets torn to shreds.

The money going to lower leagues is based on the PL being financially viable, and voiding puts a massive black hole into the accounts. The "Premier League" itself will be dead as there will be such massive restructing of all professional football it will inevitably be rebranded.

These changes might be for the better in terms of reducing the massive gaps between divisions, except for so many clubs being destroyed. Burnley are already under threat.

The money has been agreed so your first comment is horseshit. Your second comment is also horseshit but I'm not sure why you'd care. There'd still be stats, internet streams and football forums so nothing would change for you.

You think the PL is making any money right now? They're just eating into savings. It can't last.

That surely goes for every sport / Business out there .

The Bubble was going to burst one day . Is this it ? I don't know , but All it will take for the PL to survive is for the OWNERS not to be so FING Greedy . Much as I don't like the idea of a Footballer getting 2 - 3 hundred thousand a week , I certainly would not turn it down !

Owners that keep gambling with the Clubs future need to hang their heads in shame , and I suspect MOST but not all are guilty of that .

They were happy as Pigs in SH*T when Money was pouring in , time to Suck it up , and spend in way's they may not want to , but have to !
