FFS <laugh> did you even read that article?

"Restaurant Group, whose chains include Wagamama and Garfunkel’s, said boss Andy Hornby would take a 40% pay cut. The firm has laid off the vast majority of its 21,500 workers..."

Best part of 20,000 sacked just to protect the boss's salary.

LFC: zero people sacked, zero reduction in pay. But yeah you all care about the workers.

That money being sponged by clubs owned by billionaires was designated to be used to help small companies who are desperate not to sack staff...

Stop defending your club for stealing public money...they are repugnant and being less repugnant than my club ain't a ****ing defence.

I admitted [HASHTAG]#dayone[/HASHTAG] Liverpool made a mistake but theirs is the least of other PL clubs and other businesses.

But most people on this thread are so [HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG] to attack Liverpool they're aligning themselves with millionaires who sack most of their staff <laugh>

The worker argument is DOA as no LFC staff member has any reduction in pay.

The use of taxpayer money isn't ideal but I'm not going to cry too hard for taxpayer money going somewhere other than London for once. There are bigger problems than that right now.

No one has defended millionaires ... other than you that is.

Being a bunch of greedy ****s ain't a mistake...it is a deliberate act...a choice...and any fan who defends that choice is a moron <ok>

Why did the Tories choose to not put any restrictions on how big or profitable businesses could be to qualify for assistance then, or how much they've spent on dividends and buybacks...? :emoticon-0112-wonde

The restaurant group been struggling for years, nothing to do with corona.

We built two brand spanking Frankie & Benny's and Chiquito units in north Devon and two years later they still haven't been occupied.

He's taken a cut to try to continue operating.

Liverpool could pay its dinner ladies without even noticing for a good few weeks yet. Or should.

Why try defend the indefensible with utterly irrelevant comparisons?

Because the Tories wanted there rich mates to take advantage of course. Just because something is allowed it does not make it right

Exactly.

The virtue signalling, histrionics, and the excuse to vent hatred for Liverpool's success are pathetic.

LFC are currently the 5th worst PL club in terms of their reaction to the furlough issue. That's all.

You mean joint 2nd along with Norwich and bournemouth. The worst being the spuds and Newcastle.

Anyway, nice to know that you advocate your club abusing the furlough scheme. You probably think its okay for Google and amazon to dodge their taxes too since it's all legal

Liverpool are going to get more attention then most clubs because you are a big club if arsenal, United or Chelsea done the same they would be facing criticism also. The reason people aren't saying much about spurs is that most spurs fans aren't defending there clubs actions but Liverpool fans are

i believe the spuds already made front page news about being scumbags and so they should be

It's a very ****ty thing for any cash rich cub to do. I'm amazed Woodwood hasn't jumped on the opportunity to save his masters a few pennies.

United are a very well run brand the negative PR will damage the finances in the long run so they will bite the bullet for now

Obviously haven't actually read my posts.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou pays himself a £60m dividend days before taking £600m of crisis funding from the taxpayers in addition to 80% furloughing his staff.

I ain't a Tory...never voted Tory in any election and never will.
But maybe they were more interested in helping people not being laid off and helping small compsnies survive than thinking that multi million ****s would act out of sheer greed.

The Tories did not stop us doing it so it's their fault... FFS mate ... get a ****ing grip...defending this **** <doh>

You are 1 small step behind us in the **** stakes...and you celebrate ffs <laugh>

No one gains from defending the indefensible ... being 1 of 5 clubs to abuse the scheme is indefensible
