I think he just hates Spurs tbh mate <laugh>
Not at all, i love the spurs lads, they are just like that fat nice girl who never gets dick and hates on all the more pretty slags.

Just shows how our of touch they are...
"Some might be able to afford a 5% cut but not a 30% cut"

No premier league footballer is on less than £10,000 per week.
So even on that figure, he is claiming that a 30% cut to earning £7000 per week is unaffordable.... FFS ...what a ****

Matty Longstaff of Newcastle United is on £850 a week <whistle>

Rooney...
On Sunday he gives an interview condemning the treatment of footballers.
On Monday he is outed as ignoring the Government's sovial distancing rules by going for a walk with his family...and Kyle Walker...oh...and Walker's family <doh>

Grealish, Walker and Rooney...
Take a bow sons, take a bow <laugh> <doh>

One of the defences put forward for players not taking a pay cut while workers are furloughed was “why aren’t the top guys at other big businesses taking pay cuts?”

Well it looks like they are.

Have the prem clubs like spurs and Liverpool along with the PFA and players, just jumped over Sports direct in the **** race?

FFS <laugh> did you even read that article?

"Restaurant Group, whose chains include Wagamama and Garfunkel’s, said boss Andy Hornby would take a 40% pay cut. The firm has laid off the vast majority of its 21,500 workers..."

Best part of 20,000 sacked just to protect the boss's salary.

LFC: zero people sacked, zero reduction in pay. But yeah you all care about the workers.

Some good selective quoting there. And top attempt at acting like Liverpool aren’t being scum bags.

Selective quoting? It's the first two lines of the article <laugh>

Whilst the rest of the article gives loads of examples of businesses furloughing staff and the executives taking pay cuts that either match the 20% or go further.

Hilarious that you asked if I read the article and then only read the first half a paragraph. That or you read it and selectively quoted the only bit you thought might support your view. Which it doesn’t.

Perhaps you'd like to list all the businesses that have cut executive pay but also kept all other staff on 100% wages?

Then you'd have a point.

The fact that Liverpool are paying 20% of the wage while the government picks up the rest of the bill doesn’t magically mean Liverpool aren’t acting like ****s and doesn’t mean the players aren’t acting like ****s for not taking a pay cut to help cover the costs.

Other businesses are going all out to survive and as shown by that article, when they’re furloughing staff are also taking pay cuts for the high earners. Which was my point, which you’re fully aware of, but you’d have to admit Liverpool have made a mistake to accept that, so I’m fully aware it’ll never happen.

I admitted [HASHTAG]#dayone[/HASHTAG] Liverpool made a mistake but theirs is the least of other PL clubs and other businesses.

But most people on this thread are so [HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG] to attack Liverpool they're aligning themselves with millionaires who sack most of their staff <laugh>

The worker argument is DOA as no LFC staff member has any reduction in pay.

The use of taxpayer money isn't ideal but I'm not going to cry too hard for taxpayer money going somewhere other than London for once. There are bigger problems than that right now.
