Old Hancock on numerous interviews this morning. This is either a miss print, poor journalism or the covid19 virus has really got to him.

" i think that the antibody test, the blood test, at the moment we haven't got a reliable home test" If we manage to get one then that can be easily replicated and we can get into even higher figures, much higher figures.'

"We have already 3,500 a week of antibody tests at Porton Down and they are the top quality, the best test in the world."

You may have to think back a bit.... In 2011/12 when the mighty QPR were playing Newcastle away over the Christmas period. I bought tickets for plane/game/hotel... sadly I fell ill and was unable to go. I was really sick (worst I think I have been). If that was now it probably would have been Covid-19. Anyway I did a search on Flu's in this country and found out during that time we had an outbreak of Coronavirus. FFS no one ever informed us! I was not tested or anything... just sent packing from the doctor. I cannot wait for these test kits to become availible because in Jan this year I had a weirdest cold. If I find out that I have had Covid-19 or Coronavirus I will be P'd.

Coronavirus isn't new, this is just a new strain.

As I've posted before, I have a feeling that all of my household may have already had Covid-19, with mild symptoms. It would be nice to know.

I know it’s very Tory to set yourself a low target and pat yourself on the back for achieving it even if grossly over budget and delayed but to actually encourage that is poor IMO.

In fairness a certain Anthony Blair was quite adept at the same.

There are millions out there, hoping and wishing they have also had it. Best way is to think that you haven't and not let your guard drop.

Hancock?

A pint? A pint?

That’s nearly an armful!

It was funny listening to someone on the late news last night who regarded Chin's death toll as "a load of old tosh". and that no one is taking their figures as true, He went on and said the CIA has proof that they are telling lies.

re testing... it was also interesting that Matt Hancock said 3 out of 4 tests were faulty in one batch... I wonder where they came from? :emoticon-0127-lipss Talking of China... I believe we recevied a batch from them.
No unfortunately not, this faulty batch actually originated in Luxembourg.

Was talking to a lorry driver friend last night and he informed me that the last load of refrigeration trailers his firm brought out of Italy (last Friday) went straight to the excel where several hundred are parked up and all connected up to be used as temporary morgues, which begs the question are the government being prepared in case or do they actually know that the death toll is already going to spiral beyond their means of control and disposal of the poor souls who don’t make it.

Ffs I'm really getting a bit sick of the political points scoring. A coronavirus pandemic wasn't on the ballot paper! This isn't a tory mess, it's a worldwide mess. The government have acted well in some areas and very poorly in others. We take our eye off the ball if we just concentrate on it being a political fight. The government happen to be conservative. I despise them but I'm in no doubt that any other party would have cocked up just as much!

Not calling you a Woke mate. I was saying you would moan if the target wasn't met, which I think you would agree with.

Mock rather than moan. To be honest I don’t know what an ambitious target looks like from here. We’ve had excuses for why we lag behind Germany, some of which have been quickly shot down by the relevant industries. We’ve had non-ventilator business preferred over ventilator businesses to make ventilators which sounds questionable at best.

That is correct. These easy pregnancy type tests are not actually ready for mass production yet. He confirmed this. Cambridge or Oxford has a test and so does PD. I heard these were going through trials/tests and once finished will be mass produced. I guess this is where he got the 100K a day figure from.
