I'd listened to a guy on SKY News earlier, who had COVID-19 and ended up requiring emergency care, including breathing aparatus (not ventilator) - He said he had first signs of the symptoms, when he was on his way to the Villa v Man City League Cup Final (I'm not sure if he actually attended the game). Well that game was on the 1st March, and he said he still carried on as normal, working etc, until he got too ill, and was admitted to hospital by ambulance last Thursday, I assume he means the 19th March. So he had virtually 3 weeks of public contact potentially spreading it!

boris has done **** all... the clapping thing wasnt even his idea

Personally I'd not want to own that one. Infinitely cringe, and useless. (If it was meant to have some morale effect on people, doing something people know is utterly useless tends not to have the effect you want. The WWII RAF didn't really need all those pots and pans to make airplanes, but people believed they did, and so the morale boosting effect was effective)

Not infecting someone else was the best anyone could do for NHS workers, and how well has that gone.

The WHO really doesn't want to talk about Taiwan, who is not a WHO member yet the only country to actually prevent an epidemic within its borders.

And the fact he had it incubating for 18/19 days at least ffs! <yikes>

Botswana not doing too badly either. Or Madagascar iirc.

Fears of increasing risk of social unrest, as parts of South Italy (Puglia) are so poor, they can't afford food.

Trump "We'd like to see New York quarantined because it's a hotspot," he told reporters. "I'm thinking about that."

Governor Cuomo "I didn't speak to him about any quarantine," he told reporters shortly after he had spoken with Mr Trump by phone. "I don't even know what that means."

I honestly reckon he’s creating a strategy from watching Contagion.

Cuomo sounds calm and clued up in comparison.
