I know things are great with hindsight, because even I was complacent back in January but some of that was due to the Governments reaction to it, they weren't panicking, so why should I. My thoughts were we are an Island, that creates no border difficulties, you just close up shop. BUT it never happened, people were still freely walking into the UK unchecked. Now 3 months on we are in lockdown, but as someone mentioned earlier, the horse has bolted! Too little, too late. As Italy proved with the South, if you control the movement and look after your boundaries, events like this would never be felt on the scale we see today. It's like the Great Fire of London, if you build your houses without boundaries, then you are going to burn in hell. I'm all for freedom of movement as long has you know what your letting in. But if people think this will be all over in 3 weeks, then you live in cloud cuckoo land.
