Oh we are getting person to person as well but mainly in NSW. If you are waiting for the sun to help I'm not sure that is going to work.

Hi, Eric, and happy birthday. I like playing with puppies but sometime I get my face slapped, well, most times actually. As for person to person transmitting of the disease being mostly NSW, remember they had a rather gay carnival down there a while ago. They probably transmitted a lot more diseases at that time. :emoticon-0172-mooni :1980_boogie_down:

Just got back from the pub. I brought my own hand sanitizer just in case and expected to see social distancing but, I was pleasantly surprised. The place was pretty busy with people of all ages, the bar staff were OK handling cash and, I don't know why I'm surprised, but it was just like a normal night out.
They'll be shut soon and we'll be confined to barracks!

I don't understand the logic of closing schools except for those children whose parents work in important services jobs:
Firstly, if teachers are there anyway then why not have all kids there? It's as likely a kid will catch it from the kid of an important worker as they would from any other kid, isn't it?
Secondly, unless you imprison the kids then they will still interact with probably the same kids they would have at school.
Third, if there is a vulnerable relative then the onus is on them to limit their contact with anyone, not just kids.

I think we need to think this through a bit more.

Social distancing, drive past the supermarkets here, there are queues to get in, queues a dozen long at the tills and worse still, many of those shoppers go to the next supermarket and do the same all over again stopping at every local store on the way. Supermarket shoppers will be spreading this more than anyone else

Re point 1 they’re just slowing the spread so emergency services can cope blono and this is one obvious way to do... reducing the number of people your kids come into contact with. Schools are notorious breeding grounds, as kids are ...well ... stinky and unhygienic (mine are anyway). Whether they keep all schools open with Skelton staff or close most completely, and leave some open as the area’s school for key worker’s kids... different ways to achieve the same effect.

re point 2, that’s the potential spanner but even so, it’s just a numbers game if your kid interacts with 3 other kids, not 30 in his class or 1000 in his school he is less likely to get it and give it to you.

Point 3, completely agree. Good luck getting that message across though!

Managed to get on a late shift at work. 2pm>midnight 4 days a week. That should allow me to home school the lad until 13:30 before going to work which allows the wife to get up and get some hours in working from home! I'm not going to get much sleep but it's a short term solution. It might buy me a few more weeks unless we get put on total lockdown!

I’m starting to get angry now our whole society is starting to breakdown because of everyone’s selfish attitude
Look at the at the long line of shoppers outside supermarkets made up of the younger non vulnerable people
Sainsbury say they have reserved the 1st hour of trading for the elderly, but they won’t be placing it, so what happens the younger one just join in
Try getting in touch with your doctors after hanging on for over 30mins all you get is a faceless wonder who doesn’t listen and jus spouts a load of rubbish “because of the Coronavirus” completely unhelpful this country is full of Pratt’s who couldn’t give a damn
