I am only 66, but I have Type1 diabetes and chronic asthma so while I’m able to get exercise I’m facing the prospect that meeting anyone could effectively kill me.

Quite frankly I’m ****ting myself.
Sorry to hear of your 'underlying health issues'.. My tennis partner for 25 years is a type 1 diabetic. We all have reasons to be careful, my mum-in-law lives alone and the boss and I are providing the care she needs.. but where we can it's important to live our lives freely but responsibly.. and I will..

I've got a low white cell count for some unknown reason so I'm in the first group from work to start homeworking as they class me as vulnerable. I'm going to be fairly shut in, just the same as the (slightly older than me) oldies but I'm not getting too worried about it, as I can still do some work online and I'll get some gardening done too.

Did my first panic buy today, I feel dirty. Instead of 4 baking potatoes I bought 8 'cos there were only a few left, is this how it starts?
On the other hand a bloke at the the checkout was prevented from buying 32 toilet rolls, restricted to 16. It was his only buy and I thought he might be lynched while loudly protesting it was ok to buy 32 yesterday, sigh.

Back at work today (NHS) I was uninspired by the local leadership who are buying in to myths about masks and hand gel while feeling it might be impolite to ask people to wash their hands, the building is home to a elderly dementia unit FFS!
Social Services are being helpful by pulling SWs out from intergrated health teams "to protect them". My boss has instigated compulsory daily update meetings at 0900, just in case we haven't shared any germs yet I guess. Oh yes, some bright spark has nicked all the hand wipes and gel from our clinic room, on eBay now I expect if you're quick.
