Looking at I think we played well. Saints are lucky we can't score or it would have been 3-0.

I also think Joe, Max and Alm are getting used to each other, all three seem to be working well together. The cup games help.

Was at the game yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Loved the VAR red card! First flag we should have been 0-2 up really. In desparate need of a goal scorer. Saint re organised after the break and coped well with the 10 men. I was just starting to thing we"lol never break them down but Max was super sharp for his goal. Sniffed the chance and made it happen.

Max was on it. Unlike Gayle. ****ing hate Gayle, always have. Just looks nothing like a decent footballer. Has always choked in the PL. Can’t wait for the day he’s finally sold, would much rather see Tom Allan given a chance than Dwight. I make it he’s missed 7 sitters this season, 3 in this match alone. Hopeless at this level.

Always been looking forward to the day there’s no Gayle or Ritchie in the side. Both are Champ footballers personified.

they ignore what they see with their own eyes.. if baffles me. Not even a marginal decision.

fans like that would go nuts if it was them and not given... they simply cannot overule their emotional decisions. we all have them , but seems alot of them ... tbh i blame hassencuntle because he was ranting on the touchline and it spread to a crowd happier to roll with it than be honest

He was complaining the Ref went to the pitch side monitor which he agreed for the sending off but not the penalty which he disagreed with. Agree with him but if he had it would have made no difference, so why whinge in interview about it.

Just watched the full game up to when we scored. Thought we played pretty well first half with Shelvey controlling things. Second half we struggled to create chances.

Thought Gayle was awful. Dont know why people having a go at Ritchie. Was actually a very good penalty but goalkeeper just guessed the right way. He also made an outstanding interception in the first half which otherwise woukd have probably been a goal.

Too much of Ritchie is sub-par and he's too mouthy. When he fcks up 20 times but still yells at anyone else not picking the right pass, I don't think he's a positive influence. I'd have started Lazaro on the right side of attack.

Gayle was beyond terrible, but no surprise, he's always been ****. I actually despise seeing him in a Newcastle shirt, he's not fit for purpose. don't know what Rafa ever saw in him, and the Championship is absolutely his level. Twitter is full of "at least he was in those positions". WTAF? That's his BASIC job, as is actually SCORING those utter sitters. He missed three and looked shot. Offers absolutely zilch - finishing is all he's supposed to be good at, and he's ****ing terrible at it. Honestly believe even Joelinton would've taken one of those.

I'd stick Joelinton up top vs Sheff U - the three behind of Max, Almiron and Lazaro is our best formation. 2 CM's were fine, back four was fine.
