Markus on leaving City...

How did the move to Bristol City come about?

“I heard earlier in January of the interest but when it happened it was quite late. I got a call from the manager and it is almost like he had fire in the eyes. He said it was a great squad and that really made me feel like this is something I want to be a part of.”

How fast paced of a move was it?

“It was very hectic (deadline day). I remember getting all the flight tickets on the Thursday night and I flew early on the Friday. Did a medical, a short training session and the watched the game on Saturday.”

How has this season been for you given the situation you had with Hull City?

“It’s been very frustrating and unfair. Everybody that knows me knows that I’m very professional. The way this situation has been handled is really bad for both parties.”

How grateful were you that you were still being selected for the Norway squad?

“Luckily I was still able to be on the national team. That helped a lot with my fitness. I knew already before the season started that I wasn’t going to play for Hull.”

Is that the end of your career with Hull City?

“Completely finished (at Hull). I had a couple of offers but I didn’t feel it was right. Now I’m here, in the beginning it’s only on loan. I just have to focus on every day. I’m really enjoying it so far.”

Good luck Marcus - if ever proof were needed that McCann is a useless **** this is it - anyone who gives Honeyman game time over Henriksen is a complete ****ing idiot

We’re paying half his wages, so he can put in MOTM performances at a club that might well make the playoffs, while we play Irvine and Honeyman and some still think it was a good move.
Did he really put in a motm performance or did they just give him it as he lacks confidence?
As he didn’t get it in the Bristol newspaper
Got a 6/10 in that

I’d have Irvine over henriksen every time as it’s about a blend and henriksen was up against batty and Stewart and I think they’re a lot better.
He pissed the manager off as he wouldn’t go, that’s why he didn’t play him.
I’m happy with the stand the manager made and think henriksens a ****.

You think most of the players are ****s once they’ve left. <laugh>

I’m not convinced McCann had much to do with the Henriksen situation.

Bristol City are going to be very disappointed as they think they have signed a tough tackling midfielder that protects the back 4 and launches swift counter attacks. <laugh><laugh>

Ironic that you’ve got Kamil as a top man, we had an identical situation with him last season, but once he didn’t go, Adkins brought him back in and he was one of our best players.

Not as ****ing stupid as paying him £10k a week to play for Bristol City.

Much better then paying him 20k to do **** all here! We have saved 10k p/w. **** situation all round but I'd rather waste 10k as apposed to 20k for a player who really didn't offer that much to us in his time here.
