Likes of Pancho etc clearly have agendas with certain posters and lick the arse of others. Not the way to carry on if you're a moderator.
Have you met him before (so know what he looks like) or would you be banking on him carrying a placard stating "I'M DES FARTES/FULWELL BRI"?
Well it sounded like smug had been banned, so I wasn't sure he'd have seen what the RTG mods were saying about him, and I didn't see what the fuss was about last night? But I'm sure you can come up with something better.
Any new news recently? I’d heard there were no new potential buyers at the quoted price, nothing else recent about FPP, only that were still interested, but that was a month ago, so who knows now.
The only thing to come out of the club was last week's quotes saying FPP are the most likely buyer, which I think most of us took to mean 'we're trying to force the hand of a mystery party to pay us more'. It's as you were I'm afraid.
Donald now has two options, three if you believe he can just carry on as things are long term, which I don't. So his two prospective buyers are the Americans or someone else. That someone else will know the Americans have been through the books from cover to cover and back again. After due diligence they've decided what the club is worth and what they'll pay, not what Donald wants. The 'someone else' isn't likely to want to pay more than people who have forensically examined the club. If they offer more there's a chance they'll end up like Donald, unable to sustain the club and with the option of borrowing against it ... ... or it might be an impulsive billionaire who fancies becoming a millionaire
I think every win brings him closer to staying. It's definitely still in play. I can only speak for myself, but I'm ok with him doing that if we get promoted and he still has FPP oversight, and if I know our fans, it will only be a few more wins before that becomes a public sentiment. We also don't know that FPP have made an actual bid to own the club now, or what their valuation is in total. I'd hazard an opinion based on what we've seen and heard, that the $12m is about 25% of the club as Donald values it, and if we get promoted could be converted to 25% equity instead of being paid back. That's everyone's ideal scenario. At that point, they'd perhaps look to do another deal, with the outcome potentially a majority stake IF Donald does well. But I really think anyone thinking FPP are waiting to take over a majority share in us in the next few months is going to be very disappointed.
That's all quite fair imo. However a 'sale' could he hastened along by either Donald caving in or another 'buyer' forcing FPP's hand. Neither look imminent but we don't know if the other group is serious or just asking questions.
If we get promoted I can see Donald REALLY wanting away. He has demonstrated how out of his depth he is in League one with a club the size of Sunderland. He will sink without trace in the Championship, which s becoming more and more like Premier League 2 with the amounts of money being splashed around. He is not stupid, i'm sure he knows this, I just hope he is not stubborn.
Yeah I think another buyer coming in as we get closer to the end of the season would be an interesting scenario that would prompt all parties to clarify their immediate intent. The closer we get back towards the Championship, the more realistic Donald's valuation gets, and the further away we are, the dafter it seems. Right now people have absolutely zero idea which club they're investing in, so he's unlikely to get what he wants, but if we get into the automatic promotion places, I reckon he'll get a nibble and be happy with it. At that stage, FPP would have to make a very quick decision as to whether they want to go 'all in' immediately.
Promotion would trigger a sale to FPP or at least further investment ... ... as you say, Donald would poo his pants at the amount of money needed to stay up. Luton are doing a very good job of providing the perfect description of what could happen to us.
And caught out in another lie. He claimed he wasn't the Mod who deleted my post, so didn't know why, having forgotten he'd already told someone it was for 'petty bickering' ... ... so he immediately went back and deleted his posts
What actually happened is that my post attracted multiple posts from people 'welcoming me back to the forum'. That drew out the Trolls like Abu Dhabi, Colin Todd, etc who were hurt by the attention I was getting. Once my post received over 60 likes it was too much for Pancho to bear
