sorry Bri I was being a bit more general in my comments and they weren’t exclusively made regarding this board.I dont believe anyone is wallowing in misery.
This place seems very upbeat since results improved and we started playing proper football
........ waits for @Smug in Boots
No apology needed.sorry Bri I was being a bit more general in my comments and they weren’t exclusively made regarding this board.
And you'd be quite right, why wouldn't I post after the tsunami of shyte I've had.
Now that made me chortle...big timeYou must log in or register to see images
L O L O sunlun are backI think I'm right in saying that Clive Hetherington has a long time connection with SAFC (his father was L.O. [Len Hetherington) who was the Chronicle reporter, on all matters SAFC, when I started supporting them in the early 60s.
Not, normally, a bullshitter!
This would be great news if true. It makes Donald's position all the more bizarre though:
First of all he would do anything that was in the interests of the football club.
Then a takeover was happening within weeks.
Then it was investment and never a takeover.
Then FPP were investing in the ownership and never interested in taking over the club.
Now they're the favourites to purchase the club.
Despite all of that, I like the bloke and think he initially did a good job with us. He came in with some big ideas and genuine intentions but he hadn't quite prepared for the scale of scrutiny around a club as big as ours.
I can't help but feel that if he'd laid out his intentions at the start and then kept his distance from the fans, he wouldn't be receiving such criticism, but he tried to have open dialogue with fans and unfortunately there are 2 sides to that coin, and you can't expect it all to be positive.
I’d rather the resurfacing of this story turned up at the end of the season if I’m honest, even though I still think the FPP thing was still smouldering anyway.
After all the hype previously (and I got overly excited by it) I’m a lot happier to just sit and wait and try and enjoy what’s happening on the pitch right now as it’s night and day by comparison to what we were seeing before Christmas and a takeover from a group of multi billionaires seemed to be the only ray of light shining through a pile of festering **** (excuse me being blunt).
It still amazes me how, no matter what upturn we get in news or results on the pitch, some are happier to keep wallowing in misery and negativity and looking at any opportunity to spin positivity back into a black and depressing thing.
Anyway, the next bit of good news im looking forward to for now will be around 21:45 on Friday
I fail to see what he brings to the table .Thing is A lot of fans weren't happy with Ellis Shorts lack of communication although it was reported he was a shy businessman.
Stuart Donald came in all open twàttering and facefooking and although initially welcomed then gets pelters for it,
Stops social media then gets stick for that ffs
I think SD has done a good job and ok we all want FPP in because of the financial clout etc, probably Donald does too, but I'd be happy to see SD stay on as a minority share holder running the club day to day.
I
I fail to see what he brings to the table .
He clearly isnt up to taking criticism..his ego is clearly as fragile as trumps handle on honesty.
His role in the sale of maja and the subsequent purchase if the greatest white elephant ever in the 1st division shows his judgement is horribly flawed.
He kept ross on 6 months too long.
He also has a penchant for spouting when it would be better to keep schtum.
Painting faded seats and saying things wants to hear does not a CEO make.
So my opinions are an agenda, and your opinions are a well thought out objective viewpoint. If maja wanted out then thats that.
Grigg was a big money buy in this division and a proven scorer, doubt anyone thought he would be this poor.
As for Ross, we were so close, 6 months too long ?
In hindsight yes but again, it could of gone the other way, just like Parky, most saying he should of been sacked after a few games and now look at us.
Was Parky part of his poor judgement ?
As for the seats, they weren't painted ffs so stop making things up to suit your agenda![]()

So my opinions are an agenda, and your opinions are a well thought out objective viewpoint.
Thanks for clearing that up.
As for PP the various surveys were quite unanimous in the view he was no good. It has worked out ...maybe.
As for ross???
The play off final was a disgrace. We barely laid a glove on a side cobbled together with misfits and freebies by a rookie manager. They humiliated us.
Add all the draws, drab football and it was clear he was well out of his depth and he gave us another half season of more of the same.
He was donald's mistake and donald lacked the knackers to bin him as any proper CEO would.
Yes I used artistic license re the seats but if that is all you have in refuting my 'agenda' , you really are a champion barrel scraper
You wouldn't be pleased but smug![]()

Thing is mate, I was told point blank, first hand, this would happen ...
... nothing I've been told or seen, other than Donald's ramblings, have ever contradicted that.
So I've just sat back happily waiting for the whole thing to unravel.
