I didn’t realise this, but they’re looking to send Balogh out on loan for a month to get match fitness.
Just send him to Cheltenham for a month. As long as he comes back unscathed he will be fine.

Newcastle United are set to test Hull City’s resolve with an opening offer for Jarrod Bowen, according to fresh reports.

Bowen is City’s man in demand this month after netting 17 goals in all competitions this season and the latest indication is that Newcastle will lead the chase for an asset the Tigers have valued at £20m

The Daily Telegraph are reporting this evening that Bowen is a top target for former City boss Steve Bruce and suggest the Magpies will test the water by tabling a firm bid inside the next week.

It remains to be seen how City would respond to that but owner Assem Allam stressed last month that he would not sell for £20m as he aims to give Grant McCann the tools to reach the Championship’s top six.

The lack of progress on contract talks with Bowen, however, remains a factor in City’s planning.

More signings to come then ?

McCann knows him both how he plays and personality, he's young, got a lot of growing up to do but he's only on loan, this move could be vital for his future so has a lot to prove which hopefully he will

cant see Bowen going to either Villa or Newcastle - he'll want to play in the Premier League next season

Great city also... nightmare going to tynemouth along the coast road at 5.... then again it’s pretty much **** in any city at 5....

Coast Road's been a bitch for the last couple of years, what with the work going on at Silverlink, routing the A19 under it, and the speed restrictions changing on a regular basis. There's been a shunt travelling into Newcastle just about every morning this week, January light conditions, the weather and careless driving combining to make such events almost inevitable.

I realise that those of you that live at least 120 miles away won't give a **** about this, what with your M62 and your Clive Sullivan Way and there's a problem with the Walton Street level crossing nonsense, but Red Top Reader and I don't care.

A1058, it's a **** of a road.

The Newcastle story seems to have a bit of weight behind it, and I'm not talking about Bruce and Ashley.

Cocks, we really could do with him staying.
Maybe we'll use the money to buy a star player?
I know, only if we see flying pigs circling the KCOM
