Personally, I like him already, he is one of the few players I tweet by welcoming him and he liked it. I think he will be a good signing, I've seen a bit of him play and certainly he has skill and can be creative. A bit like John Toral, and when Toral was in the team we looked more creative IMO, so hopefully he can have the same impact.

That’s from a couple of days ago when Charlton were the only club to meet the release clause. 2 other Championship clubs have since matched the release. It could be us as we did register interest in Maddison in the Summer. McCann does like signing someone he’s worked with previously. Elder/Silva/Samuelson etc
Brum the other team that's had an offer for Maddison accepted

Buckingham tweeted last night that city would only accept 20 million this month, despite reporting before Xmas that he wouldn’t be sold this window for 20 million . Interesting to see what happens if that bid came in

Its difficult to turn down a bid for £20m, if that is indeed what the bid is, when your getting gates of under 12,000, despite cutting admission prices.
The club doesn't run on fresh air. £20m is a lot of money, especially if the majority of it is up front with add on's if Jarrod is sold on, plays for England, etc etc.
Personally I hope he gives us another four months and decides his future in the summer when his stock may be even higher. But if someone comes in waving £20m, it takes some turning down for both player and club.

It does take some turning down , but it was only November time it was reported that Papa Allam said he wouldn’t be sold for that , would be strange with all the recent bridge building to make a statement like that and then U turn on it .

Perhaps they thought in November that introducing the new pricing structure the fans had asked for would see them flocking back ? Perhaps they thought by putting a £20m price ticket on Jarrods head it would deter bidders ?

My Newcastle supporting mate thinks he's worth £10m at most and thinks the Leeds £3m was a good offer.

****ing delusion of some people. Your lot spent £40m on Joelinton, for ****s sake.

That shut him up.

McBurnie/James/Maupay/Maddison all went from the Championship to the PL for more than £15m. Bowen has proven himself over a longer period of time and is in my opinion a better player with more potential.

How do you know Mike Ashley?

I've just realised that I've been steadily coming to believe that McCann is going to be a very good coach.

Roll on the Play-offs

[Not really 'transfer' stuff, I know, but the players Terry's bringing in are pretty good, and that is what made me post]
... and we appear to have a gaffer that players are keen to play for.

I'm not gonna judge him on vids, it always feels like doing that is way too much of a risk.

I'll wait til I see him in a City shirt.
