Charlton splashing a big bid of £2.5m to get Marcus Maddison from the Posh by hitting his release clause fee, Fulham have splashed upto £15m on Ivan Cavaleiro.

We are trying to get Samuelson in from the Hammers, a player who has played 1 full season on loan with FK Haugesund in the Norwegian Eliteserien, it just shows we are definitely looking for bargains. We need to get Henriksen and Milinkovic moved on but it is proving tricky again.

Hull City are close to concluding a deal to make West Ham United playmaker Martin Samuelsen their second new arrival of the January transfer window.

Grant McCann admitted after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Fulham that City had agreed a fee for an attacking target and would push through the “formalities” ahead of this weekend’s trip to Derby County.

It is understood that target is Samuelsen and, barring any late complications, he will join Herbie Kane in boosting City’s squad for the second half of the Championship.

Samuelsen, who is out of contract with West Ham this summer, is expected to join the Tigers on a long-term deal.

The 22-year-old has been with the Hammers since 2015 after initially arriving in English football three years earlier when joining Manchester City.

Apparently Samuelsen is injured quite a lot. If that’s the case he’ll fit in brilliantly.

Must have listened to Reece more than Markus!

I wonder if that's a translation issue, I think he means he is very slight and not very strong. Few wingers are built heavy, people like Adama Traore for example are rare because wingers are usually rapid and lightweight with a low centre of gravity.

What strikes me is hes 6 foot 2 inches tall, which for a winger is on the large side. If Balogh gets fit, we could have a front three which dwarfs many defences in the Championship.

Balogh = 6 ft 5
Eaves = 6 ft 7
Samuelsen 6 ft 2

Samuelson will be known as "titch".

I think the term is, 'it will make other teams defences look like people of small stature...'

Really? Any source on that as I thought he was pretty injury free.

Edit: Never mind, already been queried. Thought I was at the end of the thread

As Mr Toast said it may be a translation issue.
Yeah, I read nothing about injuries in that but I could see how it could be misinterpreted. I assumed there was some other knowledge but a quick google suggests he hasn't been injured much, if at all.

2 other Championship clubs bid, but don’t have permission to speak to Maddison. I wonder if this will just flush out more bids? Probably.

I doubt we are one of the other 2? Though McCann does like Maddison.
