The statement from the supporter's bodies struck me as pompous, self pitying and entitled, but it gave SD an excuse to bail out, which he obviously wanted to do.
It looks like he doesn't have the funds for next year if we get promoted.
Hopefully the new owners will.

I don't know what is worse, the ridiculous joint statement from the fanzines or the fact that the club have gone along with it.

The media are making it worse by believing the fanzines actually represent the majority of our fans (or more likely just ignoring that fact)

SD needs us to be in the Championship. That's when he'll make his money on SAFC. All this hard done to bollocks he's coming out with, its absolute rubbish. He does not have the coin to take us forward, he only ever wanted to make his money. The club means everything to all of us, that is why we are so passionate whether we win or lose. SD & CM, as much as we would of liked these two to also feel the same, they're not going to. They are business men & seen SAFC as a quick way to make some very good money. Failure to be promoted was not in their plans. They've tried & failed to sell us twice. Campbell sat with SD at play off final.

For me, nothing has changed since before the fanzines & now the official statement from Donald.

I still believe that the Americans & SD deal is very much based on us being promoted. SD will still own SAFC until we at least see where we end up at the end of the season.

One thing for certain it’ll only be loans coming in this January if we do get players in, SD won’t spend any money now and would you if you were a footballer sign a contract with us when all this backbiting is going on.

Fed up of the whole saga, don't really feel like I trust Donald any more but it seems we're stuck with each other.

I only hope that he doesn't use it as an excuse to not spend in January which would ultimately be cutting his nose off to spite his face. It seems that results are picking up but if he's serious about getting promoted he needs to improve the squad and I don't mean ****e free agents.

Will he ever attend another home game after this, if so he will get mega stick.

Surely people have the right to discuss a statement directly aimed at them.
I suppose that depends on whether or not 'discussing' the statement is actually beneficial to the club or not. Personally, I think their overly defensive response contributes to the levels of ill-feeling between the fanbase and the board, which is only harmful to the club at this stage.

How do you reckon that like?
There were members from 2 of the fan groups who contacted the radio at the weekend and said they didn't ballot the members to produce that statement. That, in itself, is a shocking way to run them. It's a "we'll publish this as a general consensus from our members, even though we haven't asked their opinions" A massive press release like that should be put to every member before being publicised and it wasn't. I know a lot of members of the groups who disagree with their statement. Not necessarily the content but the way it was done. It came across as very self righteous IMO. To publish this as if it's everyone's opinion is shockingly done and that's how it read to me.

Because they decided everyone was on the same page...... I didn't hear any Donald out chants at the stadium. Just from lots of angry keyboard warriors.

They were right to be angry, but much of the anger was simply at PP. Insisting in action and investment in Jan was largely the consensus. Donald Out wasn't in my opinion.
