Next thing is... who were the people in the summer? Was it Campbell? Was there a mystery group we didn't know about?
Well that's that.
FPP are very unlikely to come in now and he has more or less ruled them out. They were never interested in a majority takeover and never made a bid for the club. He denied this quite categorically which was interesting. He says that they are 3,000 miles away and invest in management teams, rather than in just entities on financial principle.
Whoever was looking to buy us in the summer now comes back to the table and he may take a few months to evaluate his offers and make the best choice for the club. He did mention that the FPP loan would be paid back when he sold the club to someone else. He was quite certain with his wording about 'when' rather than if, although I thought quite often his tone belied someone who would like to win the fans round.
He's prepared to take a bit of a financial hit and that was never his sole motivation. No idea what this means in practice for the bids that were made. He said that the original bid that he was 'close to concluding' in the summer was worth more than the FPP investment (which was only $12m) so that makes it anywhere from... £10m upwards.
All in all he sounded a little bit like he was setting us up for a potential stay if January goes well. He seems to be in a bit of a fantasy world where he's doing a bloody amazing job.
Quite blown away by all that. That's the clearest he's been.
I'm not buying a lot of that mind. Yes they won't want to run a club themselves but they'll have chosen this club over others for reasons of infrastructure, support, potential, not just because they randomly think Donald, Methven and Hill are mint! Would they seriously not back themselves to be able to get a management team in place? Go and buy Rochdale then, bring Donald with you, no end of success will follow with that mint management team. I just don't believe for a second that they just want Stewart Donald! As for the loan not having been used, but is being used to replace parachute payments but will also go back to FPP if he leaves.

And why did they add a company on companies house with the sol as their address. Something is not sitting right with what he has said, I say it again he has lied beforeso if the never wanted to buy the club
Why did the owners tell Roker report it was done?
So have you changed your mind and started believing him cause before I’m sure you slagged his every word.Because they wanted to do due diligence and if they went ahead with an investment or acquisition, it is simpler to attribute all of the costs of that + everything else to their SAFC related activities. It also takes 5 minutes online.
As you may have noticed about Donald, wealthy people like to use companies to facilitate purchases too, as the liability is not passed on to them in the event that something goes tits up at any stage.
The problem with listening to Donald is he contradicts what he has said a few sentences previously. Is he lying the with his first statement or his second statement.. Listening to the bloke and trying to make sense of it is like doing a cryptic crossword.
I’m a nobody on here mate I come on for the crack. I’m just curious as to why you used to “crucify his words” before then believe his radio interview today.I used most of his words to crucify the bloke. As I said when the FPP deal was concluded, if I was prepared to take his admissions in the RR podcasts at face value, I should be prepared to take subsequent ones too. I don't know if you're one of the people who think I'm someone else or what, but I've been pretty ****ing consistent on this![]()
I doubt he can afford to be choosy tbh.
He's in quicksand and doesn't have much wriggle room.
Once due diligence was done it was inevitable FPP would have found enough skeletons to rattle at Donald.
He, in my opinion, tried to tough it out and stick to his valuation but, by then, FPP could just sit it out until he cracked.
They don't have to lift a finger, Donald is doing all the work himself.

Anyone else just feel like this could be a case of “careful what you wish for”? God help us if the likes of Mark Campbell come back in.
Wouldn’t believe a word that Donald says mate, tells to many lies and trips himself upThis sounds wrong given the recent Donald interview - fpp never going to takeover, care to comment mate?
