Strewth Fatso you truly are a cynic aren't you? Mind you in truth all governments do............If he gets half of what the tories said they're going to improve it will be in the right direction. I am still concerned for the less well off. I keep seeing the adverts on TV to support unfortunate children in other countries. I keep asking myself why aren't we running something similar for our own children in this country. I agree though our need may not be as great as in other countries........ Is that being too cynical perhaps?. We cant help other countries if we cant help our own.........or is that being too cynical too??

No, I’m not cynical by nature. You know that.

See the new Lenny Henry stuff.... “I never thought I’d be raising money to feed homeless children in the UK”... or words to that affect.

mate I see it almost on a daily basis I see families that really struggle. I can see it at the school just round the corner from me. In this day and age it shouldn't be that way. I frequently hear the argument that the parents don't help the situation you see a mother with a *** in her mouth in a bloody food queue. Once again the minority are damaging the majority. Just because of one stupid parent people are happy to believe that to be the bloody norm..............

Edit........ok Ill get off me soap box...........

I misunderstood your post Beds "I keep asking myself why aren't we running something similar for our own children in this country." I thought this meant another charity.

Hey no worries mate sometimes we all get carried away sometimes its not always easy to put over the point you are making in print. Or is that just me? <laugh>

Childcare in general in this country is a joke. If you're on a below-average wage, it actually makes more sense for the mum to claim benefits than go back to work, due to how much it costs.

Sorry to change the subject, but I found this on Facebook. A bit unfair on the SNP as they only stood in 59 seats, but you get the idea:

The fact that the SNP are a Scotland only party rather skews things. If you look at the voting breakdown all the other three parties are in the race. This means that the SNP scoring 45/46% only leaves 54% to split three ways. The only seats the SNP didn't win relied on a large amount of tactical voting to win any of them.
