My thoughts are leon
I dislike politicians thoroughly. Of any hue
Maybe the odd one from various sides
I used to get so worked up about injustice and had to stop watching question. Time etc as I was getting that angry. Now I'm a bit like that **** Kempton I just ignore it all
Bit of a west stand tutter
As it does no good for blood pressure

I want to like Corbyn but can’t, I like the fact he’s old school who never changed
Unfortunately he has in the one major issue
He’s always wanted out of Europe
While bodger Alexander, I’m like Hitchens I won’t call him Boris,
As always been pro Europe
This election will only confirm my conviction they, all of them, don’t want to or don’t know how to do what the country democratically voted for.
Tbh it sickens me. if I vote it will probably be for the brexit party for all the good it will do

Woh woh woh what's all this about AI and automation? I thought we needed more immigrants to come, work and pay taxes so we can pay the pensioners. What will they do for work? Can you tax a robot for the work it does?

I really don't know why people are getting so upset about the four day week - by the time Corbyn's finished most people will be on a no day week

I read an article in a Sunday paper earlier this year from a guy that invests in companies that are developing in Ai and automation !
He said everybody should be worried about how quick it will advance .
He said it will effect every single area of employment and don't think your area is safe from it !

I thinking AI and Automation will end up swallowing up jobs in retail, manufacturing, contact centres etc.

But I read somewhere that one of the huge Wall Street banks(Maybe Merrill Lynch) are investing in AI to replace human traders.

So they could be huge job loses in the City of London and Wall Street.

The loss of tax receipts in that scenario would be very worrying !

I don't think people have grasped the idea that there are going to be far fewer jobs available in the future
especially for unskilled workers , automation and AI will replace many.

Not really a party political thing as nobody has any solution as to what to do with those people who
no longer have a job. There are going to be massive changes though , it certainly won't be business as usual
and carrying on as we have for the last 50 years.
It’s probably party political, or economic strategy at least, as to whether some people benefit from not needing to work as long because of automation, but still get a reasonable living, or automation simply means you need less workers so more go on the dole while some companies earn more for their shareholders instead.

My guess would be on the later.

Probably vote conservative. Don't really like any of the parties or any of the politicians.

Me, myself and 3 cnc machines, and a young apprentice now, do the work that would previously have been the job of about 20 people across 4 or 5 departments.

I can leave a machine running unattended all day and overnight, doing the work of 3 shifts.

That machine cost less to buy (2nd hand) than I could employ a single person for on minimum wage for a year. It doesn’t go on holiday, it doesn’t need to stop for lunch, it rarely calls in sick, it always does as it’s told, it doesn’t moan about money, it doesn’t suddenly decide to pack up and go to another company and leave me in the ****.

Automation is the way forward.

All very good but does it clean it's own swarf out? Or is that what the apprentice is for?

Maybe they'll invent a robot to do that in the near future LOL.

I might start my own party for the next election.

One of my promises will be to hang every single member of the Conservative party, the Labour Party, the Lib Dem’s, the snp, the Green Party, the dup, the whoever. Every single one of them.

Who’s with me?

Why not form a coalition of all of the above - then rule for a 1,000 years?
