FYI backdoor, there's much unknown I'm sure about contacts and discussions.I agree with you about a long protracted debate, but what I will say is you and I are not very different politically. Given the way things have gone in the last ten years, this should be a nailed on victory for Labour but it probably won't be. In my view this is because Corbyn is at the helm and it would be a seriously missed opportunity.
It's not about Corbyn's personality or the way he looks, it's about his stance on issues such as the IRA and for me they are unforgivable. This is my personal view but I would guess it's shared by quite a few erstwhile Labour voters. To me it's not a trivial issue, it's seriously important.
The thought of him in No10 fills me with dread.
I don't normally discuss who I vote for but this one time I can tell you I won't be voting Labour or anyone else for that matter. It's a vote lost.
The fact is that bits and pieces of the NHS have been being sold off, in small chunks, for years. I had an Outpatient appointment this morning with an NHS nurse, to discuss my NHS treatment, in the local Community Hospital which is entirely managed and operated by Virgin Care, not the NHS. If Johnson is re-elected that process will accelerate, if Labour are returned it will be reversed. It really is as simple as that.Personally I don't think Johnson could get away with selling off the NHS............There would be a huge riot if he did that.............Nor can I see any advantage in selling off the NHS. All I hope for is that whoever wins and is in power they actually carry out their pledges to vastly increase their spending on this department.

The longer voters such as yourself bury your head in the sand, the mor they win.
It IS happening.
The advantage to selling it off is MONEY. Look into the American health system beddy. Its terrifying, but that is what they want to do here.
Do you really think the people would let him do that...........My understanding was that the Nurses and doctors are paid by the NHS.............What was both parties pledge was it to build up to 40 new hospitals??

Beddy, who are these 'people' who are going to stop the NHS being flogged off bit by bit?
And how can these 'people' stop it?
Oh, **** me, there's an election tomorrow.
Maybe there's a clue in there somewhere.
Not both parties Beds tory statement endlessly repeated ad nauseam.

Claim
The government is only reconfiguring six new hospitals rather than building 40.
Conclusion
In its latest announcement the government has committed the money to upgrade six hospitals by 2025. Up to 38 other hospitals have received money to plan for building work between 2025 and 2030, but not to actually begin any work.
“I've been launching our programme to build 40 new hospitals in this country”
Boris Johnson, 29 September 2019
“Over the next decade we will build, not ten, not twenty, but forty new state of the art hospitals.”
Matt Hancock MP, 30 September 2019
“Yet again a Boris Johnson health announcement has quickly unravelled as spin. This isn’t 40 new hospitals, it is just reconfiguring six.”
Jonathan Ashworth MP, 29 September 2019
Er, when has a government of this country ever been forced out by the people, other than in an election?Yes maybe there is..........the people mate are us...............We don't necessarily need it to be a government move. We the people can force a government out if push came to shove......It's been done before it can be done again if necessary. Thats my opinion anyway.
Exactly how do you propose to push out a government with a majority when you realise that they have lied to you? We would have a situation like The Troubles with troops on the streets shooting rubber bullets or worse. Pfeffel wouldn't relinquish power without the kind of fight that would leave this country in ruins. Do you really want that? I bet Putin does.Yes maybe there is..........the people mate are us...............We don't necessarily need it to be a government move.
