    https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/dec/10/labour-nhs-cash-boost-staffing-plans-nurses
"On funding, Labour is promising to give the NHS in England the most money: £26bn more in real terms (after inflation) by 2023-24. It plans to increase the budget of both the NHS and the Department of Health and Social Care by 4.3% every year of the next parliament. That is higher than the 3.8% and 3.1% annual rises in the DHSC budget in the Lib Dem and Tory plans."

Beddy, tomorrow is the only chance you have to vote for a future. No one expects you to vote for Corbyn if you don't trust him, but please do the decent thing for everyone and at the very least vote to stop the Tories taking a wrecking ball to this country, and the lives of those who are already struggling.

Come on fella, think of the kids that are without much hope, the single parents living in poverty and guilt because they can't give their children the decent life they deserve. Think about the old folk who scratch an existence on a pension they can hardly manage on. Imagine all of these people, add in the doctors and nurses that are at or beyond breaking point and just think that your one vote just might make a massive difference.

I wish the electorate was going to vote like they are in my office - did a quick straw poll this morning and we came up with 19 who professed to planning to vote LibDem or labour and just 4 who were voting differently. LibDem have the best chance of keeping a Tory out of Bath (where most of the staff live) and there is very much a feeling that tactical voting is necessary hence the LibDem leanings.
Nobody seems to be scared of a labour victory though so I've still got everything crossed that people might turn out to be more savvy than the media would have us believe...

*interestingly, the bunch that are LibDem supporters rather than tactical voters say that they will vote LibDem in spite of Jo Swinson rather than because of her.*

When I hear the Tories are building 40 new hospitals I just think that they must be demolishing 40, selling off 2/3 of the bricks and using the rest to build 40 smaller replacements to sell to private companies. Feels like thats how the Tories do public services.

Ironic then, that the current outbreak of disloyalty and betrayal within Labour has almost exclusively emenated from disaffected Blairites. The most glaring example being Ian Austin, former Dudley MP. The wost of a very bad bunch of spoiled egotists who all spat the dummy when democratic processes within the Labour Party didn't go there way.

I was recently reading about Virgin Care, which took over a GP Surgery in Chelmsford, 2016 iirc.
The surgery was rated outstanding at the time, but then had a big lump of funding withdrawn, so the GPs decided to sell up.
The surgery was taken over by Virgin Care, who immediately ran it down with it’s next CQC evaluation putting them in special measures.
I can’t find the original report, which I read in the Mirror, but the claim also stated that VC were given better funding than the GPs had been and they also offered fewer services.
