How much,as a matter of 'fact',does he have off shore? Or is that mere unsubstantiated supposition?

A fair question Ric. And this substance behind claims people were making/repeating is what I was driving at yesterday.

I always check the evidence - multiple sources and check where those sources are coming from. Question, question, question.

Define Champaign socialist ?
.
I ain't got the time mate. Other than to say its people who pretend to be socialists, but in reality have loads of dough, have never been on the breadline, had to apply for benefits or live in a council house on some rat infested estate with no amenities and little hope. But still pretend to be 'right on' with the people. But usually end up shafting them and ****ting on them from a great height. Oh and are usually 'career politicians' and public school, then Oxford/Cambridge educated.

Chris Patten was the best leader the Consevatives never had.

And Labour would probably be walking this election if Alan Johnson had become leader.

There are a lot of what ifs etc. But the Lib Dems poor performance perhaps suggests there isn't the mass appetite for Centrism (including is right and left) as people may think.

A Johnson Labour Party would be 100% Remain. I think it would bomb in Leave areas (as it is now to some extent).

Seems like one or two got upset with my earlier comments, as I said gut feeling and life experience. I look at my parents, me Dad was a lorry driver, never a day off, still in reasonable health in his mid 80's. But still taken out 20 years of pension at todays rate not the 1pound 6schillings and 6pence a week he paid in in the 1950's 60's and 70's
Me Mam mainly part time shop work and cleaning type stuff, not sure if she would have paid anything into the system on such a small wage. On the other side had so much from the NHS I can't imaging the cost oh and 25 years of pension.

Ah but I hear you shout it's the workers today that pay todays pensions. So back then Less population which means Less pensioners today, but even with our new increased population and the lowest unemployment rate the country is still short of money. So is the answer to bring in more workers? Looks like an expanding balloon about to burst to me.

Something doesn't add up and according to a graph someone posted a page or to back it's getting near to 2 Trillion in the red. And another oh, roads, rails, schools, hospitals are falling to bits so we didn't spend the money there. But we need to.

Genuine question, out of interest and not loaded.

There seems to be a fair few Tory voters on this forum - how many are under the age of 40?

Similar question to the Labour voters, how many over 40?

I thank you.

John Curtice release a interesting study which concluded that Labour is now the party of the young, not the party of the working class.

Yes very fair points .
Even Starmer would have Labour in a good position at the minute .
The media generally put whatever government into power and one thing they are not going to allow us Jezzer to get in.

Sir Keir Starmer another example of a champagne socialist...False as £uck.
I do like the Alan Johnson connection. Never met him, but know people who did, and said he was a top geezer. Shame he never led the party.

To put it bluntly there is an unfortunate truth in that.

Some quick reasons:

Neoliberalism - working class felt let down by New Labour.
False consciousness
Relentless media campaign, pretty much since mid New Labour

Labour made claims re Johnson's tax affairs while he was Mayor Of London, so he released his tax returns and he'd paid £916,481 on an total income of £1,985,901 over the previous four years.

So if you have more than a couple of pence to rub together you have to vote Tory do you ??
Is a social conscience not allowed or is your world completely binary ??
