i think he’s a useful option for every now and again. He will need protection behind him but he can help add more creativity because I think we will need to add more goals since we’re shopping a goal a game.

we played some of our best football last season when we switched to 4231 same time last season.

If lallana isnt the plan watch us revert to the terrible Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum trio.

Yeah. Henderson will go back to the thankless task of doing the donkey-work while others get the plaudits and he gets called useless by some of his own fans.

Sad to lose him through injury, opportunities for others to set him and see what they can do. Winning the league is how we cope at difficult times.

    Fabinho injury details confirmed

Liverpool can confirm Fabinho suffered ankle ligament damage during the Champions League encounter with Napoli in midweek.

The midfielder needed to be substituted after 18 minutes of the 1-1 draw at Anfield on Wednesday night after falling awkwardly during a challenge.

Further assessment on the injury has discovered Fabinho will be out of action until the New Year.

The Brazilian will begin a rehabilitation programme with the Reds’ medical team at Melwood as he works his way back to full fitness.

It’s funny how Fabinho does the ‘thankless task’ yet somehow manages to receive a lot of praise for it?

even funnier that fans are still on Henderson’s back despite playing in other positions, not just the number 6..? Seems to be a trend ...

I think that the loss of Matip is a big reason to why the clean sheets have dried up.
I can’t stick how people keep claiming we have t had injuries
Allison, Matip, Fab, Mo, ox how many more do they want ?????

Yeah but we didn’t have Allison
That trio of Allison Matip and VVD coupled with robbo and Trent is the key to the clean sheets imho

it just shows that we have had injuries :) (I think :bandit:)

Matip injury looks like it will still take some time. Remember that Fab was our 5th CB.

We have VvD, Lovren and Gomez for two positions in a period when we play 4 games every 11 days <yikes>

Tbh....this situation totally vindicates the club KEEPING Lovren when some here wanted him gone. Thank god we did that.

For the next few games, we need to rotate a lot. I fully expect to see players rested at the weekend and for the squad to be fully utilised....if we don’t do that, we’re really asking for trouble.

One more injury to a first team player in any position and I would consider us threadbare looking at the alternatives. I hope the transfers are already very much lined up before the wheels come off.

Plus I don't think people can really point at Lovren and say he hasn't stepped up.

I don't think we'll be making any transfers in January.

Klopp doesn't seem to like clogging up the pathway for youngsters, so if we do hit some sort of injury crisis in defence then Hoever will probably have to step up.

I do think people are being a bit dramatic though, November last year we played Arsenal away, Fabinho had a stinker and people were saying he wasn't used to the pace of the league and shouldn't be starting. The way Klopp manages us it is almost certain that someone will step up and replace our injured players. Same time last season people were thinking a Gomez injury was disastrous then Matip stepped up and by the end of the season he was our 2nd best CB in supporters eyes.
