De Niro kicking that shop keeper was just embarrassing and summed up the film, all guys 30 years too old for the parts. An absolute disaster and not shocked to hear no one was interested bar Netflix.


He could have used younger actors. But I expect he wanted to use old bastards like himself, who know they are in death’s waiting room, because that’s pretty much what the film is all about - Marty’s reflections on the inevitability of death.

First reaction, I liked it a lot. De Niro probably is too old but he was still superb, Pacino is definitely too old and he hammed it up a bit but who gives a ****, have some ****ing respect for a pair of legends. Or are you the sort of punk who turns up to a meeting in shorts?

The scene in the coffin warehouse was ****ing genius btw.
“See anything you like?”
“Huh. Ah, the green one..”
