Everton are moaning but the first rule of football is play to the whistle. They will have been briefed about this situation so tough ****.And well done to Graham Scott. The PL said at the start of the season that they wanted linesman to flag as normal (ie ignore that VAR exists), but for referees to not blow their whistle and instead allow play to continue if a goalscoring chance looks likely.

And to be honest, it very much looked like they did continue to play to the whistle. I didn't see their two defenders stop playing. Or Pickford.
