I mean the inescapable fact is that if Son had put in that tackle, and Gomes had gotten straight back up, it would have been a yellow at best.
You can tell a red card tackle as soon as it happens, regardless of the outcome.

On closer examination I think a straight red was a little harsh, but understandable given the circumstances.
Does anyone think Spurs will appeal the card?

They’d lose the appeal just after it looked like they were about to win it.

That’s why every two footed, studs showing tackle is a straight red regardless of wether the other player is injured or not

Absolutely Blue, you get a small club that over achieves and some with bottle actually stand up. Others just pale away to the relegation zone were they belong.
The game isn’t broken down into the ‘sky 6’ and small clubs. There’s that bit in the middle that a lot of clubs fit in to which is medium sized clubs :emoticon-0148-yes:

Milner never left the ground, always in control, no excessive force. Yellow was a bit harsh but giveable.

...but he 'endangered' him mate ...

Milner's 'hack' altered Moura's directional tangent to an extent than he only just avoided a burrowing mole who had popped his head up in the hope of catching a glimpse of Kloppy's gleaming teeth ... are you saying that if Moura had twisted his ankle in the mole hole Milner should then have got a red as a consequence of the injury rather than the challenge itself? ... seems that way?
