That is one drink I could quite happily sup all day ( mind I could sup most alcoholic beverages all day & be quite happy lol

All I drink mate unless I'm in a bar that doesn't sell it then I'll go for a Peroni or an Estrella

Great news and nice work @Smug in Boots. Had a look over on the other side and it's still the same people trying to put a downer on it.

Sent a mod a pm asking for a 6 month ban, that place is really bad for me, I end up pi**ed off every time I read a thread on PF, I'll stick to this more calm place for the next few months at the minimum.

Quick edit, I'm JohnKay over on RTG btw, those with a sharp eye will have clocked my signature.
Steve3000 that SBC and there was another who we're constantly having digs at @Smug in Boots sure there was loads of others too... if you are reading this which they probably are... unlucky don't be so paranoid there are actually canny people out there!
he also had a dig at GOM which shocked me

Without appearing pedantic it's actually less than £150
I know a few people with considerable coin (relatively speaking, ney billionaires), one of them is a family member. Trying to get a pint out of them is like getting blood from a stone. It might not be the equivalent of them 'betting the house' on the lads, but, if they didn't think they could quadruple it minimum they wouldn't have even entertained it, much less spent months sorting out the finer details. This absolutely class news. I'm owa the knot!

He is spot on GOM would be nice to meet the bloke and buy him a pint.

He doesn't have to take the time and effort to go through the books and explain them to the majority of fans like myself who don't really understand that side of things. Same with @Kittenmittons he does get grief as does repeat but its good to have a poster like him on the board who also knows the accountancy side.

Just shame GOM wasn't here too as I enjoy reading both their viewpoints on it.

I'm banned from rtg till mid December but I've decided when my bans up I won't be logging back in.

There's a lot of decent posters on there but it's also full of embarrassing pathetic blokes who think it's cool and current to constantly slate everything safc

Take Phil Parkinson for instance I admit like most safc fans I wasn't too happy with his appointment but like all managers I am fully behind him and was willing to give him a fair crack

Take the Wycombe game out of the equation as he'd only been here 2 minutes so you can't count that game, the performances in my opinion have been better more intent, more chances created, more bodies in the box. Yea the results haven't been what we've wanted but that's been down to poor finishing and pue bad luck as we've hit the woodwork about 6 times.

I will never blame a manager if we're creating chances and at least having a go. Under Jack Ross we weren't doing any of that. But those on rtg obviously didn't want Parkinson and aren't willing to cut him any slack.

Small minded posters who probably don't even go to the games.

Thanks mate and thanks to everyone else who's commented.

My pleasure isn't for me, it's for all the great Sunderland supporters who deserve this ....

... let's hope this is the start of a great new era for the club.

I've decided to celebrate by walking down to the village, with Mrs Smug, and drink Guinness.

I don't usually drink Guinness but it was at the home of Louisa Guinness, the wife of Ben Brown, where I saw first hand evidence of what I still believe is the takeover.

I was shown a WhatsApp message from Glen Fuhrman confirming he was buying the club.

So I've been sitting back and laughing in the face of all those people who've said it wouldn't happen ...

... now I'm sitting back with my Guinness hoping everyone is having their own party in their own way <party>

Cheers for all the info Smug, never doubted you one bit. Next time we meet I'll get the beers in :emoticon-0169-dance

Popped over the road to see the fun and as expected the usual suspects trying to see the bad side of this.

Does it matter, no it doesn't as 3 billionaires have invested in us. What's not to be positive about
People have simply been so polarised that they want us to flop so they can be right.
You'll see most of them.on a matchday thread while we play.
