After spending the morning in Lambourn (had a visit to Daniel Kublers and Richard Hughes) was very interesting! Second time I have actually been in Lambourn but the first was the open day! So was good too see it all in a natural day! Have arranged a second visit to Daniel Kubler and will get to ride out too next time so looking forward to that!! But overall a very enjoyable morning!! (Apart from getting up at 4.30 <laugh> )

Nass what was your view on Al Dancer I was very underwhelmed really! Nice to see Harry Cobden doing his best ruby Walsh impression, seemed to have loads on Getway Trump just ready to push the button but when push came to shove like nothing was there!!

was a confusing race for sure, the way the Skelton horse finished from out the back suggests to me that it wasn’t a good race. Nicholls horse blew up and barely got up the hill, I think he might need a flat track next time.

Al Dancer jumped ok on debut and did stay on well enough, but I was expecting him to pull away from the outsiders up the hill and yet they closed on him.

I’d be wanting to take him on at short prices next time out.

Wouldn’t touch the tizzards horses at the moment. Was standing next to him. Didn’t even come out for master debonair.

decent enough then , champagne well was fav for the persian war the other week, late withdrawal in that , today’s race good compo for connections , got 11/4 last night and 5 s on Benny . FoB always seems to do well in oct / nov , i suppose it’s part of the training cycle , notice his run real well fresh usually , two winners yesterday and three today .......

His horses always seem fit. Could you imagine what he could do with some proper ammo.

Couple of observations about Cheltenham today. I do like the new look racecards with the timeform comments for each horse . I don’t like the new recycled beer glasses the Guinness tastes ****e. I couldn’t drink it.
