hi fellas! a fantastic card awaits us at cheltenham,so here we go: 2 00: two vs the field for me,and they are DOCTOR DUFFY and champagne wells.the latter has probably the strongest form, but the byrnes horse might have a fitness edge over him,as well as very solid form lately.so,he gets a narrow vote..
cheltenham,2 35: i think, this will be fought out by the two progressive ones here,GETAWAY TRUMP and al dancer.there is probably not much between them on their respective hurdles form, but ive the feel, that GT might be a touch stronger today, even if its really a narrow choice..
Big run from L'Air Du Vent in the opener on hurdles debut - did really well to finish a close 3rd amongst battle-hardened opponents.
Golden Hawn 1st, 2nd and 4th. Domino Darling wins at 10/1 Nova Roma and Thumur both NRs. Magnetised won as he liked
Gutted the race wasn't tomorrow..as I would have lumped on him. Will have to watch replay later...arkle winner anyone?
Will need to see the time but it didn't scream Arkle winner to me. Getaway Trump was very tenderly handled and beaten just under 6 lengths, I'd perhaps fancy him to turn it around next time they meet.
2nd to last and beaten 40 lengths. She is not promising and Stoute would have had to have been very patient, and a waste of a nomination to Dubawi.
cheltenham,3 45: a very useful.looking field, and it wont be a walk in the park for DINONS,but its safe to assume,we havnt seen the best of him yet over fences, even if he already displayed some talent this season.he goes in the ground, trip should also be ok for him,and he won by 14 lengths over hurdles at this meeting 12 months ago,so he ticks a lot of boxes.big shout.
The full brother Calculation made his debut behind Too Darn Hot before disappointing next time. Gelded afterwards he has now run 8 times and has an OR of 91. He has been running at 14F of late and you would think that Hurdling might be a better option for him. They may as well have left Approximate until next year to start her off because she learned nothing today other than that Racing isn't much fun in the mud. Not a day to be backing on the Flat. Even the promising Hamish was porked at 4/7 Fav. I doubt he needed another race this season but hey ho it's not my call with the horse who is 14/1 clear favourite for next year's Ebor and 33/1 bar.
Domino Darling ran a cracking time at Doncaster, proving just too strong for the fav with the 3rd well beaten. Bred to stay, I wonder what price she will be for the Oaks; no price available at present (not entered)
cheltenham,4 20: hard to gauge, how good the two ex french horses are,but they are in top hands, and much respected.but i d rather back a horse,i know better, and that is MASTER DEBONAIR,for the all conquering and very successful team of tizzard/power.his bumper form from last season looks much better now,and hes destined to make an even better hurdler this season.top chance!
