I keep reading how average we (QPR) are. I have read it quite a few times after we have outplayed teams who were virtually all much more fancied than us before the season started. For a team that were second favourites for relegation and had to get rid of about a dozen players due to FFP I am delighted with our start to the season.

After your fantastic run last season I'm surprised you got rid of Atkins but no doubt your basket-case owners were responsible for that.

I am reliably told that if you insert 'league' before defeat you are spot on. In the league cup, however, QPR are supreme with a 100% win record in Hull ( 1985 and 1991).

How 'very dare' you... !!!!..... we have a team of highly trained, efficient, industry knowledgable brains that has allowed us to get to where we are. Advising the unadvisable.

I was impressed by QPR on Saturday. Moved the ball well and obviously in Eze you have an exceptional talent. I rarely notice an opposition player as standing out but he certainly did and pretty much all our fans noted it. Suspect you also have a good and experienced manager.
Yes, Adkins couldn't agree a new contract with our owners. Jury still out on Grant McCann.

'We' didn't get rid of Adkins. He left in his own accord not wanting to sign the contract the club offered him. For the record it was the same 'basket case owners' who gave him the opportunity back into football management when they appointed him after he'd gone18 months without a job.
QPR were decent on Saturday, better then us on the day with Eze the main difference. He reminded me of a poor mans Zaha, and his diving technique is almost identical. It's very clever how he manages to fall over his own feet when in the penalty box.

That's a good write up by someone who is clearly knowledgeable about his football, football players and the state of Hull City...

    Approx 1200 QPR

"Thick end of 14,000 empty seats here these days, with big swathes of the stadium closed altogether as the Allam reign continues to sap the spirit and strength from the locals".

He's a Hull FC season pass holder.

Unusually, he supports a tinpot second tier London football club instead of the usual LFC/MUFC plastic habit.

Ahh, that makes sense. He certainly does know what he talking about though and there doesn't seem to be any hint of sneering at Hull City.

As for tinpot and second tier, that's just what we are I'm afraid.

I'll be more than happy to be second tier next season thanks, given the handicaps we are operating with.

We are getting League 1 gates now, usually the lowest in the division.

There is nothing tin pot about this, it's a passive aggressive conflict that sees the club as the victim.

Tinpot would be a club that demands 50,000 tickets for Wembley ....some thirty thousand more than their average gate.

That’s how **** QPR are. Reading have just equalised at Loftus Road 2-2. Reading much the better side Drama’s very lucky.

I think it's true that in this league, most teams are average. It's why I think it's always frustrating to be struggling in this division, because you see teams doing much better and realise there's no reason your team couldn't be doing the same. It generally isn't just teams with big budgets at the top. That said, we couldn't afford to go for Pugh this summer and you could afford to have him on your bench, so there is something there.

As someone else pointed out, Eze was outstanding on Saturday and it's rare that an individual performance of an away player is noticed like that at this level. I'm always irritated by players who repeatedly 'win' penalties, and that being celebrated as a virtue. The Zaha comparison also struck me in that respect. I got the impression that the ref was influenced by how good his dribbling was, and how desperate he made our defenders look, so therefore it must've been a foul, even though no one actually even made a challenge on him. It doesn't help that our quiet, sparsely populated ground is an extremely easy place for referees to give big decisions against the home team. Make no mistake - you wouldnt get those match-defining decisions go your way at certain other grounds.

Dint think Eze was all that.

2 pens after two clumsy fouls. He had pace -or are our defenders a bit slow and pushed too far up?

Think the Dramas have a canny manager who sets them up well, and they have the type of decent Championship players we used to have a couple of years back until we sold em all or let their contracts run down.
