I don’t disagree with that, but he’s evidently had enough about him to keep their interest.

I’m sure they can use what he has and guide him along. If there’s a budget there then we will likely go the DOF route on the footballing side.

They’ve done a relatively job business wise and financially.

He may not be the right man, time will tell, but as they increase investment then they will decide if he remains.

Enough about him!

Oh aye, if this goes ahead I won't slate the bloke, he's not done badly by us all-in-all. I just won't be getting carried away either. If you believe a lot of the rumours then the hold-ups have been caused at least in part by him trying to squeeze more money out of it, and it's possible he nearly ****ed the whole thing up single-handedly. But it could all be bollocks, he might have been jumping through hoops just to keep the deal alive and this is the best outcome he could possibly have achieved.

I'd guess the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. He seems like a decent enough bloke, but he's a businessman at the end of the day and we're an investment, can't begrudge him trying to make a bit of cash.

For me, he'll probably just go down as another "meh" owner. Here's hoping the Dellboys can finally get us on that fabled magic carpet we heard about so long ago, ha.
If we had had a decent/proper manager to coach the team and buy the right players we would still on the magic carpet instead of a proggie mat. Sadly we had a series of duds all except BSA. I include keane in the duds because he wasted over 60m while in the premier league on cr9p like prica, halford, chimbonda, tainio, Ferdinand...not even counting the silly wages he insisted they get.
Hopefully these new owners wont allow spoilt petulant managers to waste money and refuse to be accountable

I think having SD running the day to of the club as a whole with its offshoots like the AOL, but I think a director of football would a good appointment, someone who has ties to football clubs, agents and knows how stuff works, to aid in making actual football decisions with the manager
We really need a hardass like levy as CEO who rules with an iron fist.
The dof, the manager and CEO need to be singing from same hymnsheet which I dont believe was happening with ross and hill.
If the stories about grigg are true.
I really would only have donald as a figurehead meeter and greater.

The takeover talk does seem to have moved aside and been replaced by investment which is a lot more vague.
More often than not take overs start with investment.
My view these chaps aren't flying across from America to spend time at the club do months of diligence only to invest a few quid for short term gains.
They want to own the club but they want it under their terms and they don't care how long it takes.
Unlike this country american venture capitalists are very happy to play the long game.
