Ah I now understand what you're getting at.

37.6m to ES
32m operating costs

34m parachute payments
9.6m from 2017-18 parachute payments (see Madrox accounts on companies house)
22m revenue

Make more sense now?

It’s always made sense. It all adds up.

£69million out, £65 million in, £3-4 million below break even, exactly as Charlie said.

It all, absolutely makes sense and always has.

What I’m not seeing is the point? They’ve said the parachute money will be fed back in ‘as and when’, but they haven’t actually taken it out of the club. If it’s fed back by them selling up, so be it.

I’d they bring in money that covers that, via investment or sale, and therefore effectively keep it, then they will do so having left the clubs in great financial shape, either under new, wealthy ownership or with hefty investment, which would dilute their ownership, and therefore their liability for any parachute payment used.

They’d make a few quid in this scenario, not a penny of which I would begrudge, and not a penny of which would harm the club in any way.

For them to walk away with bags of money is reliant on the club being sold, or receiving sizeable investment, either of which would be positive for the club.

Nobody has taken the clubs money, they have simply moved it about, quite visibly I must add, to run the club.

That’s the end of it for me. If they physically put the parachute money back in, then sold the clubs for £40 million as has been touted, they’d have made £5 million.

It’s not unrealistic to suggest a company director or a CEO would get that as a bonus payment for streamlining a businesses finances.

There’s no wrongdoing, they’ve been creative in their financing. They won’t be the ones to take us forward, they will make a few quid, they have seen, and taken, a wonderful opportunity to do so.

They haven’t done a single thing, to date, that’s hurt the club financially. I’ll change my mind if it transpires they ever ****ed the ‘Dell deal’ with excessive demands, but again, that’s pure fans forum speculation. Well, that and The Sun, that cornerstone of honesty and balanced, intellectual reporting.

Why does anyone care if SD used the parachute payment to buy the club. Surely that's better than a high interest loan from someone like Close Brothers. Did Short or Drumaville suffer the same kind of scrutiny from amateur accountants?
The basic concern people have expressed is that the club has been bought by a third party using the club’s income. If that is the case I think concerns would be justified.

Most sources indicate that sd 's personal wealth is estimated at under 10m. Methven even less.
I suppose if the club is valued at between 40-80m then that rattles the cage of some

I'm not accusing the owners of anything - I simply asked how much of their own money have they put in. You have said you don't know yet you're very defensive of them. Why? BTW you sound a lot like Wardley Mackem.

You seem to be going at Nads like a dog with a bone so please enlighten me.

How much money do you feel that the owners have put in? To quote yourself, just numbers will be fine.

We any further forward with 'Serious Transfer talk'? I think everybody involved in the chat since about 9 PM last night need to get a room. Really need to put it to one side and move on.

Well that was a struggle to read through.

Hopefully the new manager is announced today so he can get to work with the squad before Saturdays game

Context is important too, last year was the worst performance wise in the club’s history and there are no signs of improvement so far this year.

Im not a fan of some of the remarks people make about fans who express concerns about SD and CM’s running of the club. ‘Amateur accountants’ is one that has been used in this thread, at the end of the day they’re concerned fans.

Parkinson is not my choice at all, but whoever they decide on needs as much time as possible with the team this week.

We can't go into Saturdays game with half arsed preparation
Agreed!! Unfortunately i think he would be on the back foot from the off and people will be on his back immediately. If he is appointed it smacks of going for the cheapest option available. I would give him a chance but god we are crying out for someone with a bit of fire in their belly!!!

Off and on the pitch we could do with that.

Maybe the odd tactic and a bit of positivity in the way the team is set up and play wouldn't go amiss either
