He's naive I'll give you that but you have to look at the history of the paper making the accusations
They don't really care as long as it sells papers.
and ask why they are the only ones with this info

Anu group has its fair share of arses. Not just Sunderland fans or football fans, but in any walk of life. Being anonymous brings the worst out in people...

I think donald trump may disagree.
I hate him with a vengeance but his tweets certainly seem to both resonate and polarize.
It's a whole new area for getting a message/point of view etc across.
People make a living being 'social media influencers'. Why go out on the hustings pressing flesh when you can get just as much airplay and recognition sat in your living room prodding your tablet?
Problem for donald is he started off being 'everyone's mate' on twitter and RR etc. It worked a dream. 'Club is a mess, fans have been ignored, there there I will soothe your furrowed brows'. Fast forward 18 mths and we have seen the manager sacked after presiding over a team of chokers twice at wembley etc etc. investment/takeover that were to make us the equivalent of croesus has gone pear shaped.
Donald hasnt got the juice, experience, panache etc to cope with these failures.
The sacking and search for a manager and the takeover saga have reopened all the old wounds and donald seems incapable of stitching or cauterising these wounds.
He ought to be very wary of he wants to outwit or paint msd as the bad guys. They will tie him in knots.
It's a very very vexed situation

This is his tweet re. the sun.....
"This article is rubbish. It is defamatory and is full of complete and utter lies. This reporting is a disgrace and will surely land them in a lot of trouble".

He has come of twitter as he had a couple of threats in relation to the possible appointments of either Ainsworth, Parkinson and another one, cant remember who.

People making threats over that is ridiculous. Some people need to give their heads a shake.

You really have to question the parenting of people who perpetrate such acts.

I can understand the frustration but the timing of that article, late Saturday night. When it's obvious that people will be full of drink. Makes me think it's been timed to cause as much trouble as possible. Did SD not sue them over the article that involved his family and his break up with his wife? I'm just a little suspicious they are out to get him.

It boils my pi55 when people insinuate that drink can or should be a mitigating factor in the rash actions of people. That is frog5hit of the highest order.
If someone assaulted a close family member of yours would you say it was ok ..he was drunk?
I'm not specifically having a go at you rather the notion in some sectors of the community that being drunk should be a get out of jail free card.

That's not what I meant mate. I'm saying the timing indicates to me that the Sun was hoping for the reaction they've received.

Personally I don't drink alcohol. I stopped because I turn into a total arsehole when I was drunk. Alcohol can help you make poor decisions in life, but ultimately you have to take responsibility for you're own actions.

Apologies if I possibly offended you!
Re the sun. Personally I think it caters to the lowest common denominator sadly. A lot of folk take the bait too.
Donald should have risen above it all but he seems unable to.
Live by the sword ..die by sword sp they say.
He needs to take a long sabbatical from media like twitter etc etc. Once the media hyenas surround you and start nipping and biting you are done for

Didn't SD recently sue that rag owa claims he'd left his wife for a stripper

Maybe that's why they've got it in for SD but as you say the only decent thing that rag is useful for is spare toilet paper

A comment on Oxford board from May 30th 2019

"There is no denying SD has steadied the ship at Sunderland. However, how steady that ship is at the end of next season remains to be seen. He seems to be taking the same stance as Eales did when he was in charge. Do loads of PR, say the right things to keep the fans on side, try and off load the club, when it gets put in the press about him selling up then come out and say its just investment he wants rather than offload the whole thing, make sure one of the men at the top table is seen in the pubs before the games, drinking with the fans (Charlie) yet the reality behind the scenes is very different.

By the end Eales was a bit like a duck, calm above the water but the legs were peddling like mad and I get the same impression that is the same in the North East.

I’m wondering if FPP have gotten Stewart and co. to sign the NDA but not sign one themselves, leaving them free to share information with whoever they choose and drip information to add pressure.

Anyone doing due diligence would need to sign an NDA. They’ll have seen some sensitive information that we as fans would never have access to.

If the Sun told me the sky was blue, I'd still look up to make sure they weren't lying.

Those "fans" threatening our chairman on are an absolute embarrassment as well.

My gut feel on this is that it's very unlikely that Donald has suddenly doubled the price.

A bit of speculation from me nothing more, but maybe the £40m in installments is the original price (not additional). If Donald wants to stay in charge after the takeover, this could be the way that MSD leverage it to create incentive for him to succeed and value for them in giving away some control.

It's known, in legal circles, as the 'Gascoigne' defence and copied by idiots nationwide.

Using that defence you can beat up women, drive while drunk, use Class A drugs, etc with impunity.
