Seems to fit with the Ross decision... If they're just investing and won't have overall control, then they probably told Donald to get shot of him unless they won't invest. Once they were on board it would be a more difficult to demand it.

Given charlies comments they same to fit with the lastest update especially comments about being limited with spending

When all of this is done and dusted can we all agree that anyone who claims to be 'itk' or even actually IS 'itk' be hit with an immediate ban!!

why did SD say on the RR podcats weeks ago that they were close to investment and they are now saying it's not needed.

It suggests they'll bring them in now if possible imo, but that since we wouldn't be spending anything until the championship there's no rush to do it, so it might drag on for months yet!

Looks like due to reservations they have backed off from a full immediate takeover, but are still keen to come on board gradually, all signs point to this.

Was it ever a takeover? All we know is Donald always said investment, then spoke about a takeover, now he’s back to investment.

Arguably, keeping the owners in place and funnelling money in as appropriate is better than a full takeover for right now.

That’s how I’m reading all of this and all the signs are pointing that way.

Again, this isn’t professing to be ITK but it’s reading between lines. Would also explain some alleged ‘ITK’ gibshites saying ‘it’s off’.

I suppose if it a progressive investment it allows Nixon a get out clause ie he can claim takeover was called off . Word play.
In terms of dripfeeding money I'd be worried about leaving donald in charge of player spending. He, hill and coton have been atrocious. I wouldnt let him near a subbuteo auction.
Of course investment means expected returns. That could be problematic.

The ****as should’ve said more about this knowing how supporters were getting over excited. Today’s statement is a cop out and might as well say ‘we’re no further forward we haven’t got a pot to piss in’.
And I couldn’t give a **** if I sound like a spoilt 51 war old that been going since 1975 and had a season ticket for 30’year. Today’s update is ****.
And I’m pissed.
