I just still can't see why we'd randomly sack him right at the end of important negotiations if the two weren't linked, might as well have held on two days! The fact it broke almost exactly when the "takeover off" rumour broke makes it seem even stranger. But aye, **** knows what's actually going on at this club at the minute!

I'm hoping that Ross was sacked at the request of MSD for the takeover to go through but I think its just as likely been a deflection tactic to take the headlines after the reports the deal was off. Just hope we get some clarity either way very soon.

If a deflection tactic (which to be fair Donald must know wouldn't really work) I imagine he'd have employed it right when the talks officially broke down. Doing it now but saying there's still a chance makes no sense because if he has bad news again in a couple of days the relief of Ross going will have already completely subsided! I don't think the takeover is going through, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a member or members of MSD being minority shareholders. And maybe they'd want it confirmed that Ross has gone before agreeing to it, because as minority shareholders they wouldn't be able to force a sacking once they've signed on. If Donald knew that was the way the wind was blowing anyway it would make sense. God knows!

I don't think it's a deflection tactic. If it was it's a pretty poor one as no one seems particularly bothered about him and are focused on investment. I think it's off now personally. Shame if so. I think previous employees of club are biting us on the arse.
