i am, of course, still clinging onto the 'ironing out a few details' scenario but am really starting to get sick of the wait, almost at the point of not caring if it happens or not stage.

I think its gonna be busy few days for Donald, find a new manager, and get the ownership situation sorted. Life is never dull being a SAFC fan...

I think you could tell by Donald’s manner on the phone in last night that his head is scrambled. What I don’t get is that 2 days ago Nixon was saying it’s on and then the day after it’s off, surely there would be a way of retrieving the situation if it was like that.
Sadly for Donald the pitchforks are out on this one and whoever did the leaking to RR and ALS wants shooting as that is really what caused the stir. Quite how they got to a point of printing t shirts is beyond me.

Remember way back in August SD said FPP are the “preferred partners”? Suggest there was always other groups involved. Just a hunch and I hope I’m wrong but to me it sounds like FPP have backed out. SD is now talking with other interested groups

It's his own fault imo.
We keep attracting investors and they dont get any better than MSD, IF and I say IF this has/does fall through then it's down to SD as the same happened in May.

Nee bother marra, I often read your posts both here and over the road and think you have both reasonable and reasoned points to make and often do it far more eloquently than I ever could, but on this occasion I think your theories are way way over thought out , apologies for the burst of laughter but that's literally what I did.

I completely agree to be honest and I suspect the leaks were from him and CM to RR and ALS, patting themselves on the back for getting it done, didn’t quite work like that.
it’s close to a season wasted by all the flirting they have done since May and while I think Ross was out of his depth he hasn’t been helped by all this one bit.

Fair enough mate, to be honest I think this takeover is driving everyone a bit mental like! I just still can't see why we'd randomly sack him right at the end of important negotiations if the two weren't linked, might as well have held on two days! The fact it broke almost exactly when the "takeover off" rumour broke makes it seem even stranger. But aye, **** knows what's actually going on at this club at the minute!

I think that nobody knew about the sacking of Ross really shows nobody knows absolutely nothing. People will get info as I did at the weekend which people post in good faith but it doesnt mean its gospel.
Our Club no matter who owns it seems to always be a basket case, I just really hope this MSD investment/takeover comes off as if it doesnt I think we are totally screwed
