I for one don’t believe Donald. I have been told for 2 weeks now that he has been playing hardball with the Americans wanting more money when we are promoted up the leagues. They were getting sick then I guess this’s might just be a culmination of this. He will rightly get pelters for this in my opinion. A once in a lifetime chance we had. Oh well fingers crossed it’s bollocks.
I'd be absolutely foaming with SD if this takeover does fail due to him ****ing about for his personal interests when he has repeatedly said he will do the best by the club. Thing is, none of us really know wtf is going on at the minute and who has done or not done what, so for the time being I think we need to hold off apportioning blame until actual facts come out - if indeed this takeover doesn't happen that is

I’m still confident we will get there we are too far down the line. Fortunes spent on legal teams etc. This information flies in the face of most of the evidence we have thus far.

*****THIS ISN'T OFF SMUG/RIV*****
It's also just a bit of a rumour and I can't say if it's true or not but you can make your own minds up. I'm not ITK or passing this one as 100% truth

"I've been told to ignore rumours its off and that its very much still on."

With that in mind Donald's tweet has me confused tbh.

Fed up of this like. Future of the club being batted about like the ball in a tennis match. Even if it actually isn't that's how it feels.

I think it would be a lot easier to digest (if it is off!) if we were playing decent football under a bright manager and were top of the league...but we're not :(

One interpretation of that is that the Chronicle has without corroboration copied the Sun story which was printed without corroboration which was probably based upon the threads yesterday.

SD appears (to me) to be denying the issue they're all speculating about even exists?

No sources given, not even the vaguest of vague attributing to 'someone from SAFC' or 'someone close to Sunderland's ownership team'.

Sun Journalism! Alan Nixon could have been reading yesterday's RTG and just put together a total guesswork article that will, later on, either be lauded as a scoop or just quietly forgotten or updated with a 'Sunderland's on - off billionaire take-over is is believed to be back on again as behind the scenes dealing overcomes club valuation figures!'

if it is off, thats business I guess, nobody will know for sure who is to blame etc. Have to say though this honestly felt like our biggest and last bite at the cherry. I guess we will have to wait and see ultimately.

His twitter replies although, possibly deliberately vague do not suggest it’s off to me. People will read into it what they want to.
His wording where he says 'I haven’t changed the deal' again says to me.. Much like his tweet after Consett.. Gives me the feeling that the Americans are haggling.

I don't think they are particular reassuring either mate
I take your point but there’s probably very little he can say if NDA’s are in place. I think his comments are fairly neutral but as I say people will read it the way they want to interpret it.
