I wonder how many of the 1800 would risk a defeat to just attack for 90 minutes ... ... put me down as a 'yes'
Just nipped out for supplies, 08:20 pick up, still no idea on pubs yet. I reckon it will be tough, hopefully manage a clean sheet.
Bottom half team against a top 5 team.on paper should be a walk in the park. A water tight defence and a free scoring forward line how can anything possibly go wrong, OH i forgot this is Sunderland, a team who never do easy. So with the teams above us all having difficult fixtures this would be the ideal time to steal a march, but as i have said this is Sunderland so put your hard earned cash on a 1-3 away win. Sorry i meant 1-1 draw. PS. I would be more than happy to eat humble pie if they prove me wrong.
Grant Brown https://www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/sport/football/lincoln-citys-grant-brown-lining-3383474
We were ( on paper ) far too strong for oxford, bolton and rotherham and we chucked away 6 points. Rochdale were robbed of 1 point at least and it would not be unfair to suggest all 3 points were deserved by rochdale. While ross remains manager we will never be far too strong for any team
I'll have a pint for you mate! This could be a classic away day. Compact ground with plenty of pubs, sold out away support, on the back of good results ... ... and its almost our derby match this season. No excuse not to go all out for the WIN, haway Sunderland!!!
I've looked at the probable match squad and have no idea what team/system/tactics Ross will use ... ... surely that affects the team. I spend the first 15 minutes, of every game, trying to work out the plan. If it's the same for the players no wonder we start games slowly.
Spot on marra, I do exactly the same with a bit of intrepidation and I'm sure this negative rubs off on the players ... 4-0 win to the lads today
We have yet to win comfortably under Ross, even so, I'd like a settled team to go on a good run soon. We seem at last to have a capable defence in place, so why not start today. Haaaaway the lads
I hope he fields the same starting line up as last week, as it clearly worked Give them a proper half time tea talk Then make suns earlier in the game as players tire, esp McGeogh... who doesn't look to have the legs for a full, combative 90. McNulty and McGeady can replace tiring legs of Gooch and Maguire provided nee injuries. If Big Jon flaps about again he has to give Burge a shout next game
