Sunderland's takeover by an American consortium is "in the balance", according to The Sun. Black Cats owner Stewart Donald has been in talks with MSD Partners over the last month but the New York firm are "still haggling over some of the details of the deal" and there are now fears it could collapse.

Is that not the thing from a few days ago by David Coverdale or whatever his name is, the one that Donald said on Twitter was absolute rubbish?

Think this came out the other day mate and Donald has since tweeted to a fan who raised it as bollocks.

I'm with you on this in preferring a soft launch and then following it with a steady drip drip of information, details of projects etc. to ensure that we are, almost, constantly in the news.
Then again we could announce we had signed Messi and Dawn on BBC North Korea would start with news of a Newcastle reserve fixture :emoticon-0102-bigsm
