    Sunderland's takeover by an American consortium is "in the balance", according to The Sun. Black Cats owner Stewart Donald has been in talks with MSD Partners over the last month but the New York firm are "still haggling over some of the details of the deal" and there are now fears it could collapse.

    Also if you go into your settings there is an option to switch off auto watching threads you replied to - as well as getting email replies as well.

    Click into your settings then into prefrences and its there.

    If you look at the bottom of the email you received there is a facility to stop them

    I'm with you on this in preferring a soft launch and then following it with a steady drip drip of information, details of projects etc. to ensure that we are, almost, constantly in the news.
    Then again we could announce we had signed Messi and Dawn on BBC North Korea would start with news of a Newcastle reserve fixture :emoticon-0102-bigsm
