Don’t know why Donald has put such a negative spin on the takeover. Yes I wouldn’t expect him to announce it’s all rubber stamped but surely he could give the consett group a bit hope. I’m certainly not a ITK but it’s true the O’Brien lad has joined the board , Another lad I know who I won’t name but he’s position is at director level with our sponsors showed me text msgs from wed 18th and thurs 19th fwd from Charlie saying the deal was done.Only last night he was saying it’s all sorted and they’re all just waiting for everyone to be together so they can announce it.

OK, I wasn't going to break a confidence but, now you've openly said this, it's obvious I'm not the only one being drip fed information.

Charlie seems to be much less careful about who he speaks to.

I've suspected, for a while, that the fanzines and forums are being used by different 'factiions' to feed info, some duff and some true, into the system.

I've posted everything in good faith and, of course, I want all the positive stuff to be 100% true, what true Sunderland supporter wouldn't ffs?

What I do know is that the only truly first hand info I got was a message from Furham saying he was the new owner. As far as I'm concerned that's it for me and I'd have been quite happy to have put that directly to Mr Donald.

Still would ....

" it’s not quite as advanced as people make out but better than 50/50."

What does 'it's' actually mea, take your pick ....

..... due diligence, agreeing board of directors, share transfers, legal contracts, staffing reshuffle, design of new outfits for ticket office staff, etc etc etc.

50% is just as meaningless ....

.... is there only half a chance it could happen or it is all agreed and the legal process more than 50% completed?

I like Donald but last night was a mistake imo.

It's unprofessional to even comment about a deal of this magnitude in a Blackhill club ...

... it's like Churchill planning the D-Day landings in the snug down the Hat & Feathers.[/QUOTE]

Ha ha ha, Last comment made me chuckle

Thanks for that. Can I just clarify - the bit about other interested parties and due diligence - is it your take that he was referring to previous “other parties” or was it clear he was referring to the past few months??
Previously interested parties.... Probably the Campbell consortium and others. I didn't understand it to be meaning direct competition for MSD right now.

I remember you saying on RTG this I s fact and then you were also giving an opinion on your thoughts, think some twats were misreading between the two

Cheers, puts a whole different slant on how those comments were relayed last night.

U know Fuhrman??

I can't believe what I have been reading. Some people are clearly unhinged looking for any negative slant they can get.
Totally, people hang on words but it’s more Donald’s body language I was interested in, he’s never gonna disclose everything at a fans forum. Sounds like his body language was upbeat and positive around the takeover and that’s good enough for me.

Here is the thing about ITK posts. You can choose to believe them or not, there are posters who haven’t believed a word Smug has said all along, yet are now whining like spoiled kids because nothings happened. Does it matter? You didn’t believe him in the first place. They are self flagellating arseholes who watch reruns of Silas in the Da Vinci Code for sexual pleasure
Now where have I put that whip

It's actually quite funny mate.

Donald insists he wants the best deal for the club.

In that case how could there possibly be a better option than Dell?

It's certainly not Campbell or the likes of Kenyon cobbling together a group of 'investors'.

If it was between Dell and other viable buyers why did Donald only mention Dell ...

.... it's because there is only Dell.

I said ages ago believe it or don’t, it’s no big deal. But some just can’t help themselves

He mentioned MSD a couple of times but never directly named any other group. He was using it to sort of say that there are no problems and the previous people who have undertaken DD had nothing but excellent feedback on the health of the club.

When it's done it's done, that's all that matters.

A little rumour here and there is what keeps the interest in the takeover going.

Last night annoyed me a bit with what was being said and I suggested this morning that there could have been a facility for it to have been recorded for people to watch afterwards. Cue someone who is apparently a member of the Consett branch taking great umbrage at such a suggestion and how dare I say such a thing. The staggering naivety is what got me. It was inevitable people would talk about what he said and any chance they had to reduce that and the effects of it should have been taken with both hands.

Sadly some fans prefer the parochial, silo mentality of “it’s my thing not yours and I’m the only one who’s allowed it, so there.”

I think you've read into that a little too much.
