Seems to me from what ive read is the people who were actually there have come out of it feeling very positive

Aye, suppose that's always the danger when things aren't streamed etc. We've had people saying it's 50/50 (when Donald apparently didn't say it), had people mention other buyers (when that might have been referring to previous people who are no longer involved), and then of course there's been the feeling that it might be completed over the weekend, which led to enhanced expectations from this. A bit of a heady mix. He probably won't, but since Donald is bound to now be getting cross examined on Twitter I just hope he can reply with something a bit positive sounding!

Same here mate.

Just when I thought all hell would break loose I asked the lad sending messages what the atmosphere was like.

Good he said.

I was quite surprised tbh.
Saw a post on RTG and he said his personal opinion was he felt more confident after the talk and it seems those so called quotes about 50/50 and other parties were just total bs, the only interesting one is hes not sure how him and charlie would fit in under the new lot however could this not just link in to rumours charlie is gone as soon as its done, by mentioning both of them he drops the hint about the change without totally singling charlie out and giving the game away

When he gives a talk to just 200 people its a game of chinese whispers how the news filters out to wider fan base

If I'm honest it's the one thing I'm a bit annoyed about. He obviously can discuss things since he just has, so why stay quiet on Twitter when all this is going on and then randomly start discussing it at a random branch talk in with 200 people when, with the best of intentions, it's always going to filter out and will be subject to Chinese whispers. Twitter isn't a perfect platform, at all, but at least you can make your point directly and not leave it open to misinterpretation. Just had a look at his mentions, getting all sorts of ****, just seems so unnecessary. If there's a positive update tell all the fans, if a negative one, tell all the fans, if you can't give an update yet just keep quiet, doing this at a small gathering seems incredibly ill-judged

I think the clue here, presuming he used the same term, is takeover and not investment.

It all sounds to me like Stewart has had some difficult decisions. Hes genuinely enjoyed his time here and wants to continue but he knows this is an amazing opportunity for the club. The difficult part being he may not (likely not if you ask me) be part of their plans so what's best for the club also means he has to depart.

It was said that "they are being a bit cagey regarding their plans and intentions" SD's admission tonight seems to back up those claims from a week or so ago.

He did say on twitter he would be answering the question about it tonight so he probably expected the news to get filtered out but didnt realise how much it could get twist

The RTG trolls will readily believe any bs to discredit me but ignore genuine info that supports me.

They're a sad bunch and, hopefully, people will see this as the way a chat forum should be.

Yeah I suppose i get that, I just think he's incredibly naive if he honestly thought the message could get out accurately without being misread from an event like that. He might as well have just said on Twitter "all still progressing, not complete yet, maybe 1 or 2 weeks away, not sure if me and CM will be here after but hope so" - that would have been hard to twist and then this event could have been more along the lines of other talk ins discussing other issues.

If he wanted to talk in person instead why the secrecy and the "please don't post any of this" (which was never going to happen). I'm sure there was an event recently where he was speaking and then later they released a recording of it, surely that would have made more sense? Get your point across in person but still let the whole fan base hear it for themselves, I'm just amazed he went down this route

The fact that Donald is openly discussing the deal with Dell and that things are progressing.

That's good isn't it?
Yes, but it doesn't make me feel more confident. My understanding until this evening was that the deal was done/passed the point of no return and so on.

So Peter Kenyon is basically running around trying to get someone to take it off Mike's hands by the looks.
