IMO the silence is significant.
I think more cases like 'Alavrez' will surface because the Dell boys will litigate over a missing chocolate éclair from Doris's tea trolly.
They must be looking at some contracts, and outstanding agents demands, and dialing 'Injury lawyers 4 us'.
The club, despite the effort of Donald & Methven is still an overstaffed shambles in the eyes of some people.
One little gem that stuck in my my mind, from a fortnight back, was from someone on the periphery of the Dell camp
I'm paraphrasing and, in truth, this was repeated to me by a mutual friend.
"These guys will make the agents cry. Players will see contracts unlike anything before. They'll sign for this club on less wages than the alternative because they'll see what hard work and dedication will bring them."
That was repeated to me after the Americans had been guests of Levy, at Spurs, for their game against Newcastle. They'd been at the SOL, as arranged, for the Burton game that was postponed. Levy is just the kind of horrible velvet gloved assassin we need here imo, I hope the Americans learn from him about the English game.
I was told, and believe it, that one of the reasons for their visit was to look at the stadium. This ties in with the things people have heard about the stadium extension, maximising the existing space and promoting concerts and other sports. Obviously that wouldn't happen immediately but they're obviously examining absolutely every possibility.
