So are all the new posters over from RTG? I'm easily confused. How did they all come over at the same time? Was there some sort of general meeting? Anyhow, enjoy the forum lads and lasses. FTM.
Someone on the takeover thread on RTG, (which has degenerated into the usual bitch fest of people arguing over everything) posted a link to this thread and so most of us who are interested in the takeover rather than arguing about Jack Ross started following this thread. I personally didn't even know this forum existed, it seems a bit more chilled. Hopefully the Fuds that spoil all the threads on RTG don't come over (although I've noticed a few familiar names already).

IMO the silence is significant.

I think more cases like 'Alavrez' will surface because the Dell boys will litigate over a missing chocolate éclair from Doris's tea trolly.

They must be looking at some contracts, and outstanding agents demands, and dialing 'Injury lawyers 4 us'.

The club, despite the effort of Donald & Methven is still an overstaffed shambles in the eyes of some people.

One little gem that stuck in my my mind, from a fortnight back, was from someone on the periphery of the Dell camp

I'm paraphrasing and, in truth, this was repeated to me by a mutual friend.

"These guys will make the agents cry. Players will see contracts unlike anything before. They'll sign for this club on less wages than the alternative because they'll see what hard work and dedication will bring them."

That was repeated to me after the Americans had been guests of Levy, at Spurs, for their game against Newcastle. They'd been at the SOL, as arranged, for the Burton game that was postponed. Levy is just the kind of horrible velvet gloved assassin we need here imo, I hope the Americans learn from him about the English game.

I was told, and believe it, that one of the reasons for their visit was to look at the stadium. This ties in with the things people have heard about the stadium extension, maximising the existing space and promoting concerts and other sports. Obviously that wouldn't happen immediately but they're obviously examining absolutely every possibility.
Hey Smug pal, good to get some updated info from you. You're missed over the other place.

That bit in bold sounds exactly like the New England Patriots in NFL. Bill Belichick runs them like that and players want to play for the Pats because of him, who they are and the fact they are ALWAYS in with a chance of winning the Super Bowl. Lets hope these lads can get us competing like them and the good times will well and truly roll!

I think that there was a link to a post on here that started the exodus.

Certainly it was the catalyst for me signing up.
Yes that’s what I saw. It was a copy n paste of a post from Smug which people were identifying as being from Reiver. More and more people were convinced that it was him and hence the scramble to get across here to find out what was going on. I’m sure lots more new members will find their way here over the next couple of days. Mind that jigsaw was a bit tricky!
It’s a nice forum - seems fresh and welcoming.

It certainly doesn't help when there is one who continually hands out bans (not warnings) when someone posts an opinion he disagrees with and hides behind board rules even though it has contravened none of them!

CLUE! I suspect, but can't say for sure, it is the drunken ex pat, from the other side of the pond.

This place is cool mate...

Hi Drum.....its a long story about a long thread...

And yes most seem to be from RTG...I recognise a lot of the usernames

Remind me to tell you about it one day...

Hopefully this place doesn't get infected

I don't want to derail this thread but RTG will be discussed so we may as well get it out of the way.

I'm regularly banned on there but never on here despite posting the same stuff in the same way.

My last ban was for mentioning a gay man crying on TV which I found to be a poor role model for a 'spokesman'. I'd have said the same if he was straight or a Chinese midget transvestite. I just thing its wrong to teach our children that bursting into tears will get you through to the next round of X-Factor or get an important point across.

Since my ban certain Mods have trooped on to reinforce the myth that I was banned for homophobic comments knowing I can't defend myself ...

.... or 'cowardice' as its usually known.
Boo ****ing hoo man! :emoticon-0106-cryin:emoticon-0140-rofl:
white text test for my jest
Fancy a grown man crying about being banned from a forum on another forum. What example will that set to to children about facing up to their problems instead of bitching elsewhere and not just moving on in life?

I thought you'd know the kind of poster I am and that was said in jest. Even if people didn't, I guess white text doesn't show up so well in the quotes :emoticon-0136-giggl
