    IMO the silence is significant.

I think more cases like 'Alavrez' will surface because the Dell boys will litigate over a missing chocolate éclair from Doris's tea trolly.

They must be looking at some contracts, and outstanding agents demands, and dialing 'Injury lawyers 4 us'.

The club, despite the effort of Donald & Methven is still an overstaffed shambles in the eyes of some people.

One little gem that stuck in my my mind, from a fortnight back, was from someone on the periphery of the Dell camp

I'm paraphrasing and, in truth, this was repeated to me by a mutual friend.

"These guys will make the agents cry. Players will see contracts unlike anything before. They'll sign for this club on less wages than the alternative because they'll see what hard work and dedication will bring them."

That was repeated to me after the Americans had been guests of Levy, at Spurs, for their game against Newcastle. They'd been at the SOL, as arranged, for the Burton game that was postponed. Levy is just the kind of horrible velvet gloved assassin we need here imo, I hope the Americans learn from him about the English game.

I was told, and believe it, that one of the reasons for their visit was to look at the stadium. This ties in with the things people have heard about the stadium extension, maximising the existing space and promoting concerts and other sports. Obviously that wouldn't happen immediately but they're obviously examining absolutely every possibility.

They seem forensic in their attitude, and leaving no stone unturned, which cant be a bad thing.

They could do a lot worse than taking note of Levey and the way he runs Spurs...

    Bring on the new regime...

The Mods really don't help do they? They're now relentlessly deleting posts with the slightest mention of this board. If they were half as keen to delete posts from blatantly obvious wums & Mags they might have a little more credibility.

It's laughable that one of the Mods leapt onto the Takeover thread as soon as it started to die ...

... no doubt he thought his fabulous wit and wisdom would bring it back to life <laugh>

Roger is very aware that members have turned to this place...

Someone even opened a membership on here with his avatar and the name " Rodger"...

Don't think he finds it funny :)

Let's hope the wums and idiots don't switch allegiance

Given wages is the biggest outgoing from revenue, I think in the future many clubs will stop hoying huge basic wages at players and rather have contracts with far smaller basic wages and then huge bonuses for performances. That will stop the likes of Rodwell who was on summit like £80,000 a week leeching millions from the club for doing **** all for such a long time as what other jobs allow this? Make it so that if players want big money then they have to put the effort in for it. Hopefully this is something along the lines of what the 'new' owners want to have in the club as huge wages eats into the revenue regardless of the end of season result. There will be plenty hungry for success players out there rather than the journeymen we used to buy in the past who couldn't really give a **** at times as long as they got paid.

Also if a club isn't successful (they won't always be) then fewer end of season bonuses means more money in the kitty for the next season to reinvest. Why pay a squad £60m basic wages a year to get relegated? Why not say you get paid £20m and then reward them for every place higher up the table (along with other incentives such as winning/points etc?) so the can have an OTE instead. Aye it may mean you won't get some players who just want a huge basic wage but **** them as you will eventually get a squad of players wanting to win every game to enjoy the rewards!

For example, I bet if Will Grigg was on a small basic wage and high goal bonus he'd bother his arse. Though saying that, he probably wouldn't have come here if that was the terms of his contract!
