Yawn Mr Hatem, you were probably one of those kids who came running up behind the big boys shouting "****ing get him" once it was already safe. I don't think the name change that Billy Big Bollocks, sorry Urika Peece, mentions is accurate, but I had forgotten about the Boulevard plans so fair enough. Living overseas sometimes dims your memory, but come on, Lloyd was amateur hour compared to the Allams. A **** for sure I would agree however.

Do you remember "City's last ever game against Cardiff 98" attendance 8,800 l think, l expected at a least a sell out.
Yes, I was there. It was an emotional occasion for all.

Do you realise we get now get less than that 8,800, even though we're now in the championship?

I'm sure it was David Lloyd who changed Hull FC name to Hull Sharks. Who else would have done it ? Sure some of the closet eggchasers on here can verify ? From memory I thought FC were locally owned before Lloyd came along and bailed them out, was it somebody Rawlings ? I did know an FC fan who got Hull Sharks tattooed on his arm and the club changed back to Hull FC the following week. Although officially they should have been called Gateshead Thunder trading as Hull FC because that's who they were.

Crikey how many last games where there ?
I remember the Leyton Orient last game with the buckets :emoticon-0114-dull:
The first game after the Receivers were called in for the first time was a mid week home game against Halifax Town. The club issued a plea for fans to turn out through the HDM and about 6,000 actually did which was a good crowd in those days. Of course me being a 'super fan' as called on here, I was there.

The owners have burnt too many bridges so until they go we wont have crowds above 10,000 going forward
I'll go because for me football is just about entertainment and some of the best days I have had with the lads.
What's the alternative spending all day moaning all day on here like martyr Kempton
**** no.
Sorry if I depress you so much. I really am.
But believe me, I only do what I believe is right for my club.

You'll do what you believe is right for our club.

Opinions. Fair play to you, I honestly don't have a problem with what you want to do.

I've never told anyone they shouldn't go to games.

Enjoy yourself. This is genuine, GEv.

Yes good response on a ****ty winter midweek night at short notice. Ian Davis played that night, looked a v good prospect till he got that career ending injury.

Darlington, and it pissed it down. Last City goal scored there v Boston ? Damien Delaney ? (puts tin hat on 'cos could be wrong) and of course I was.....

*Pedant alert.*

The last Hull City game at Boothferry Park was against Barnsley. It was a reserves game in the October 2003, and City lost 2-0. Isiah Rankin scored both goals. <ok>

Correct. I took a screwdriver that night hoping to bag a couple of signs but someone had beaten me too it. Several other screwdriver enthusiasts were present that night too. Most of the signs finished up with Tony Sturdy at Beverley Pine. He told me many years later that the club contacted him and asked if he'd like to come to the ground and dismantle the advertising hoardings around the pitch with his name on and keep them. He said he was always a bit weak at reading when at school and may have taken some other signs by mistake. Went to a good home at the time, better then ending up in a skip.

I’m sure I’ve seen a ‘Lloyd Buys Hull Sharks’ type headline on one of the Hull history Facebook pages, so I suspect they’d already been renamed when he bought them.

Iv'e no Idea if this is true, but a long time City fan I used go with, had a mate who lived in Jersey and he acquired a BP turnstile and had it fitted to his bedroom doorway.

This is somewhat far fetched I know, but cool if true.

If it wasn't Lloyd who did rename them then ? And why didn't it cause the same fans outrage as our proposed name change did ?
