Both Spurs and Arsenal had a good window. The bigger issue for Spurs now though is what happens with Eriksen who looks destined to leave. Either Levy tries to cash in on him before the end of the month, or loses him on a free come Jan. Also, they are looking at a similar situation with both of their main CB's Alderwiereld and Vertonghen. If those players had long contracts you'd be looking at £200m easily for them all, as it stands Spurs could lose them all for **** all.
We also have young Alex Pascanu who was in the Romania U23s that were in England's group (and beat us) and Daniel Amartey who is just coming back from injury was in the AFCON team of the tournament 4 years ago as a centre back for Ghana ... and we still have Big Wes ...so lots of options ... Jonny Evans seems to have lots of time for Soyuncu so pretty sure they will be the starting pair ... he has a mistake in him for sure but he's good on the ball, very quick and aggressive...
Still hanging on my every post Stalky? ... rather tragic and even your biggest sycophants must be getting a little bored with your obsession.
Apparently Spurs had been working on the Dybala deal all summer and officials at the club were confident it was getting done. They wanted to announce it as a 'surprise' on deadline day as a big statement #thatwentwell
Vertonghen is quite happy to stay. It’s just that the club hasn’t offered him a new contract yet. Alderweireld could well be sold by the end of the month. It’s a difficult situation to read. Eriksen. He’s done everything apart from prostrate himself on Real’s doorstep, but still they don’t seem interested. Too busy chasing Neymar. Where else would he go? Barca don’t care. Atleti, maybe. Everything else in Spain is a step down from where he is now, which he’s said he won’t do.
Levy: Paulo, we've got a great offer for you at Spurs, £50k per week and as many Harribo as you can eat. please log in to view this image
I came second in that comp. Pipped to the post by N'Chumba Gobblelot, the finest scotch egg eater this side of the Nile
