£8m for Luiz is a steal. Plus he's got banter value too. Would have liked to see us get Upamecano, but Luiz is proven prem quality and will do the job over the next couple of years whilst Saliba beds in.
Don't understand why Juve are so keen to get rid. He's a quality player and Spurs are getting a real gem there.
Yup he is past his best. Not sure where this big ego thing is from. Hes always been good not to slag off any of our managers in the media
They spent a lot last year and must have heck of a wage bill. It makes sense to offload him if hes a bit part player
You’re the only Spurs fan who thought we were buying loads of players last window too. Throw enough **** bru, some bound to stick
Aye but stadium stuff ****ed us. We had to pay a load of fees to use Wembley again whilst paying for the extra staff to get the stadium finished. This is the window I was expecting last summer. Jump on the DH train, bro. It’s a smooth ride.
So it looks like Tierney and Luiz for us on deadline day. If we do these deals then it's Martinelli £8m Saliba £28m Pepe £72m Tierney £25m Luiz £8m Ceballos loan All on a measly £40m budget Don Raul (aka Danny de Vito) is a G in the transfer market.
Tbh im waiting for when levy sells eriksen and you are back to the same squad with lo celso replacing eriksen to make it a distinctly average transfer window
If you wanted to speculate, the lad is a real pin up in his native Argentina ... but Juve now have the ultimate pin up boy ... Dybala may have had his nose pushed out a bit and got a bit bolshy ... Juve might just feel it's best for the team if they move him on ... As you say he is some player and it is difficult to see why they would move him on for pure footballing reasons ... given their ambitions
I think Frank knows Luiz's input in the dressing room from their playing days together. Luiz's can be negative during barren spells and Frank doesn't need that at this time. I think it's a good move and at 32 it's the right time for goodbyes.
